THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

In France more than twice as many rely on foodbanks than do in the UK. The Trussell Trust runs 400 foodbanks and provides 2,500 tons of food. They certainly don’t run all the foodbanks in the UK but they probably run most of them. In France it’s 100,000 tons from over 2,000 foodbanks. Is that because the Socialist Government there does not care about the poor? Difficult to see how this fits Labour’s narrative.

Bollocks to your stupid, uncontrollable, totally intrusive, loud sounding advert, MoneyAM.

I utterly despise it. And if I have to suffer much more of it then I will cancel my subscription.

Fred1new - 21 Mar 2014 23:28 - 38659 of 81564

goldfinger - 21 Mar 2014 23:34 - 38660 of 81564

Hey Chris I wish somone got a selfie of me on the canal bank when it went off earlier today.

Its a wonder I didnt end up in the water.

Total quiet and then BLAST, wow that was some shock.

Thought Id tuned into the MISSING PLANE i was literaly shaking trying to find what the hell it was on the lap top. In the end I just closed everything down and logged back onto IG for prices, didnt know it was here until I got back home.

In hindsight rather funny, I bet if someone had been with me theyd have cracked out laughing at my reactions.

aldwickk - 22 Mar 2014 00:00 - 38661 of 81564

goldie

If i had £10,000 cash and i opened a spreadbet of £100, T=PR would be £10,100 and a 2% stop loss would be [ e x ] 100 minus 20 = 80

Am not very good at maths , is this right ?

Chris Carson - 22 Mar 2014 00:01 - 38662 of 81564

As on another thread, if the "Video ad" is being a nuisance and you are using Chrome down load Adblock and then silence is golden again.

Tory associations queue up to offer Boris Johnson a seat

Sam Coates Deputy Political Editor

A bidding war has started among Conservative constituencies trying to attract Boris Johnson to become their MP if he runs for Parliament in 2015.

The Mayor of London has yet to decide whether he will return to Parliament next year, although allies of the Prime Minister are trying to force him to make up his mind.

The political fallout from the budget has been interesting. Labour were initially not very enthusiastic about the pension changes to say the least. The public like the budget and the pension changes in particular. The public see this budget as the rarest for years.

Now we see a miracle. Labour have officially come out in favour of the pension changes. This looks like a cynical attempt to deflate any benefit that the Conservatives might gain from such a good budget. Let us hope the public can see through Labour's scheme.

I have just today been given a Dummy trading account with £10, 000 to trade with for 3 months from Barclays

Chris Carson - 22 Mar 2014 17:14 - 38672 of 81564

Alders - Capital Spreads offer a Demo Account for Spread Betting. Good idea to open and then you can compare the spreads with Barclays, also charts. I use Capital Spreads and ETX Capital as a back up for live trading.

FIFA one of the most corrupt organisations in history is investigating itself, over new allegations of corruption against one of their former vice presidents, in the awarding of the 2022 World Cup!

Sepp Blatter - "I`m happy that now we have a new 'independent' FIFA committee for ethics, this is a matter now to be dealt with by this committee, so there is no need to ask again"

"As with all allegations of misconduct by football officials our newly appointed ethics committee(an oxymoron if ever there was one) will take whatever action it deems is appropriate."

What will your Ethics Committee's principle terms of reference be?

While Blatter was carefully considering his response, a voice form the back of the hall shouted out to much laughter and thunderous applause - "To check the contents of the brown envelopes, to make sure that no-one has cheated us out of the agreed amounts!

Speculation doing the rounds among many football supporters, is that the BBC is to offer Blatter a contract to present a new show called Sepp'l Fix It, based loosely on Jimmy Savile's old hit show.

Did Blatter’s Mob friends fix 2018 for Russia?
