I use the published closing bid and offer. Unfortunately SRTS is only dealt by two jobbers, one on the bid at 4 and the other offering at 7, and I'm afraid that, only being a virtual broker, I'm unable either to place orders on the book or deal within the spread for you.

VAT threshold for compusory registration went up on 10 Apr 03 to 56K. You can register on a voluntary basis if you are below this. But unless you intend to reclaim huge amounts of VAT it can be more of a headache than a benefit.

Do you really want to be a tax collection on behalf of HM Customs & Excise? (Which is what you really are if you are VAT registered!)
