Further research reveals the problem is with T-Mobile. They have had a long running dispute with Lycomobile going back to 2010. If you complain they generally credit the cost. is just a mobile number the 07404 series is allocated to Lycomobile operator.

Combined, these three sectors have, on average, accounted for over half of the 12-month inflation rate each month.


i think i am right in saying that mortgage costs are taken into account in the RPI calculation, which though a different calc, broadly follows CPI

The 'shopping basket' of items making up the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) and Retail Prices Index (RPI) are reviewed every year. Some items are taken out of the basket, some are brought in, to reflect changes in the market and to make sure the CPI and RPI are up to date and representative of consumer spending patterns.
