Just closed the Long at 9637 (opened at 9560) = 77pts at 15/pt =1155 yipee!!!
Great for a monday afternoon within an hour of market opening.

I am looking at the screen now to see what topside if any we have and then looking to short

Boy its boring with the dow being stagnant around 9605 +/- 10 odd ticks.
Do you think its going to take a massive hike up or down.?
Whenever it has been stagnant itr has been akin to a cobra-waiting to unleash like acoil and no doubt do damage if we are in its wake.

opened another long at 9586 and anm waiting it to reach 9615 that should do it for the day.

no idea what it will do, zarif. I moved my stop up to break even on the Nov future. It's a free bet now.
If it closes above 9541, I will consider it still long.

i have left the long open from yesterday and see how it goes.
What do you think its going to top-out at today.
I have this gut feeling that it will shoot up and then fall like a stone to about 9480 within the week.
So my strategy is shorting in the main.

not sure if this is relevant to you, or if i've read it right, end of day DOW showed momentum divergence.....which would indicate a rally today. i'm hoping so and have gone long.

yes, started with IG but (as you can see) keeping a very low profile while finding my feet - got a load of second-hand knowledge and am now trying to sort the wheat from the chaff, only dealing CFD's until my nerves are ready to tackle SB...good luck today.

Basically it is an estimation of overbought and oversold.
generally the lower the nuber the more bullish scenario
eg:0.16 very bullish possible rally into space
eg: 4.86- market v.bearish -down like a stone

Keep your stp losses tight and i have this gut feeling that it will reach around 9660 if not over b4 it takes a tumble.
Also the market seems to be mioving up b4 the feds decision -could be good sign.

Moved my stop (november future Long from 9564) up into profit.
Don't want to make it too tight as the system in the header has been triggered long and I want to trade the plan. There might be some evil swings today.

I closed my long for 100 points. It hit my limit stop, which surprised me.

I may go long again at the close.

i will be glad of your help and surely i need it as most of my trading uptil now has been on instinct and letting the market tell me what to do.
closed my long at 9693 (opened 9586) = 107pts good profit. I hope the gentleman with the software agrees to the sale.

What are your views tomorrow.?
I think we shall get some more bullish behaviour and hop ftse doesnot drag it down.
just watching the screen to see what it tops/bottoms at.
