Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Claret Dragon - 29 Jun 2016 14:06 - 3890 of 12628

Anyone hazard a guess at whıch EU country gıves theır restless natives a referendum on membershıp. Or wıll that optıon be shut down at the outset by polıtburo?

jimmy b - 29 Jun 2016 14:26 - 3891 of 12628

Poor old Fred he's lost everything recently and now he's throwing insults at everyone else ,Fred we WON !!! get over it .

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 14:30 - 3892 of 12628

There's nothing unusual in the fact that the UK arn't in the meetings with
the rest of the 27 other countries, because WE are leaving, so its up to
them to discuss their business and options, and when the negotiation start
then thats when the UK's negotiators and the EU start talking.

And that includes the pre talk bluster that you'll get, especially from the
side with the most to lose, in this case the EU...

CD, France have elections next year, if the Front Nat win then they'l have
a referendum as soon as possible, The Dutch have a GE next year, if Geert
Wilders party win then they will have a referendum as soon as..

Germany to, but i'm not sure with them..

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 14:48 - 3894 of 12628

Fricking hell..The stock market is surging ahead, Exchange rate on its way back
up...Those twat 'remainer's' were still claiming at dinner time that the world
was falling in and that we're still doomed...

LYING PRICKS SPRING TO MIND!!

Fred you just can't stop throwing insults at people ,i know what we won you complete idiot, i voted for it . It shows what you know ,your Labour lot have fallen apart .

Haystack - 29 Jun 2016 15:58 - 3897 of 12628

The SNP's attempt to be made the official opposition at Westminster has been rejected by the Speaker of the House of Commons.
The Scottish National Party had argued that its Commons leader enjoyed the support of more MPs than Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
There are currently 54 SNP MPs but only 40 of Labour's 229 MPs expressed support for Mr Corbyn on Tuesday.
Speaker John Bercow said he had sought expert advice.

FTSE just erased all of the losses suffered on the announcement of Brexit. Plus Sterling coming back.

cynic - 29 Jun 2016 16:33 - 3899 of 12628

fred, for all his garbage, is right to say that no one has won

nevertheless, i am certain the only way to concentrate the brains of the ruling plutocracy was to vote out ....... the result has assuredly done that, and whatever the published huff and puff, i am sure they will all be working extremely hard in the coming months to cobble together a deal that will save faces all round ....... inter alia, this will mean putting in hand some pretty radical reforms

if they do not, then it is very short odds indeed that the eu will accelerate down a path to self-destruction

jimmy b - 29 Jun 2016 16:55 - 3900 of 12628

Your opinion cynic not mine i think we won and Fred is just a rude fool.

Chris Carson - 29 Jun 2016 17:03 - 3901 of 12628

Fred Gobshite Of The Year (recurring)

Haystack - 29 Jun 2016 17:09 - 3902 of 12628

He has won it so many times, he keeps the trophy.

Fred1new - 29 Jun 2016 17:10 - 3903 of 12628

Sonny Jim,

I suggest you read back through your posts and the wording and language use in some of them and the pejorative remarks you make about all and sundry.

Unless, of course, you consider yourself as omniscient.
-==-==-=

I think Cameron will go down as a failure and has done more harm to this country than any recent PM in history by a cheap political stunt, which has backfired, rather than acting as a statesman and being able to rise above internecine party politics.

Fred1new - 29 Jun 2016 17:29 - 3904 of 12628

PS.

One of the problems with UK politics at the moment is that there is a famine or scarcity of statesmen who have views or perspective of the future integrating all parts and members of society.

Personalities like Boris and Nigel are rabble rousers. What they trade on is being able to rouse "primitive" and "instinctual" emotions.

Personally, I would like to be seen as a European rather than a little Englander.

But I will wait and watch.

If I am wrong, I will be happier.

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 18:01 - 3905 of 12628

The media and the politicians are pushing the 'verbal' hate crimes attacks as
if it didn't happen before the vote, I'm not denying there is some going on
but i don't believe there is anymore then usual, but its being blown out of
proportion because its all part of the brainwashing, in their hope of getting
another referendum they're starting to get the negatives into the publics
mind..

And don't think i'm being fanciful in my thoughts, after all they tried to use
every trick in the book to get a remain vote...

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 18:05 - 3906 of 12628

Just because we're leaving the EU dosn't mean we're not european, but
Fred if YOU want to be a 'european', go and live in a 'more' european
country..SIMPLES!

Fred1new - 29 Jun 2016 18:11 - 3907 of 12628

Thank you for the advice!

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 18:14 - 3908 of 12628

Well its obvious you need some advice, otherwise you just spout nonsense..

It's a well known ploy by the media or political parties if it suits their agenda,
claiming shouting racism...

cynic - 29 Jun 2016 18:27 - 3909 of 12628

as i have not yet been labelled a pariah, i shall ask the same question that fred did ......

the outers (which included me) carried the day, but what has actually been won?
i've had an oblique stab at what has or at least might have been gained, but as it stands, we are all somewhat in limbo
