In the past Ive never liked this electronic flat speaker company as its always been a jam tomorrow story, a would be blue skyer with plenty of froth on the top with a management who have failed miserably in my opinion. Ive even shorted it and made a few bob out of it but very recently I have done a 'u' turn on the company and have gone long, the reasons being that the company have a new MD in place and the guy appears to be getting his team pulling together and gone are the silly corporate mistakes of the past.
Its recently won its first mass production license with Toyota who are forecast to become the biggest car manufacturer in the world overtaking GM.
Today it as given out a very Bullish statement after the recent CES trade fair and the share price as reacted strongly to the news in the last half hour.
I beleive its worth having a punt up to the results as in the past they have usually moved up around 30% to the interims in late february. At the interims its then a case of waying up future development forward.
A second order from Toyota within two
months should give shareholders in flat
panel speaker maker NXT (NTX)
something to shout about after a difficult
2005.
NXT's shares rebounded from a year low
of 48p to the current 63p just before
Christmas when Toyota announced plans
to use a roof liner sound system equipped
with NXT in its FJ Cruiser sports utility
vehicle. The Japanese company has now
announced it will also fit out its new
Estima minivan with the same kit. Both
cars will be available from March.
Last year NXT chalked-up heavy losses,
forcing a boardroom reshuffle and the
launch of a major cost reduction
programme. Yet the company is still not
expected to break-even until at least
2007.
However, the balance sheet remains in
robust shape and companies such as chip
designer ARM Holdings (ARM) have
proved the licensing and royalty model
that NXT is pursuing can be very
profitable once a large enough base of
customers has been built.

BMW are going to follow suit is the whisper, lets face it every quality mark car will be offering the system as an extra at least. The future is certainly Flat! :)
Starting to edge its way up before results next tuesday the 28th. Some talk on other boards abot a deal with the Apple Ipod, still speculation at this point.
