considering this is an investors bb , there must be some stocks that will directly benefit from the world cup. this is one that might be worth a look.

possible?

also, some of the breweries might be worth a punt, especially if england do well.

bosley - 27 May 2006 12:12 - 40 of 403

On a slightly different note.
Did anyone see Peter CROUCH's dance last night after he scored?
The phrase ' what a cock' sprung to mind. He should have been yellow carded for the sheer embarrassment factor/.

Sven should invest in some dancing lessons.

C'MON ENGLAND!!!!!!! lots of goals, just no dancing please.

bosley - 31 May 2006 13:37 - 44 of 403

lol@tweenie!!! you read my mind!! speaking of the game last night, what a joy it was to watch the good ,old, solid , honest english footballers who never, ever, ever dive. not like those dirty, cheating bastard continentals. i mean , english players neeeeeeeeeeeever dive. they merely fall over when there's no contact. but that's not diving.........

tweenie - 31 May 2006 13:42 - 45 of 403

CALM DowN , CAlm DOWN (approriate accent)....... INGERLAND!!!! makes you proud.

Maybe amend above to dance&diving?

bosley - 31 May 2006 14:31 - 46 of 403

for tweenie and any other england fans ...... guessing there might be one or two ......

bosley - 31 May 2006 14:32 - 47 of 403

and for gd potts who seems to fancy spain. can't say i blame him ......

bosley - 31 May 2006 14:36 - 48 of 403

speaking of last night's game was anybody else amazed to hear the esteemed panel criticise jamie carragher for keeping possession? i shook my head in disbelief!!! i mean, what possible good can come from keeping possession?

explosive - 31 May 2006 15:04 - 49 of 403

That Spanish bird bos has a nose and a half on her, third in from title picture.... Maybe her promoters thought the event was cricket!!

hewittalan6 - 31 May 2006 15:31 - 50 of 403

You're looking at HER NOSE????????

explosive - 31 May 2006 15:39 - 51 of 403

Still debateing if it really is a born her Alan.....

chocolat - 31 May 2006 15:51 - 52 of 403

Spot the velcro ;)

bosley - 31 May 2006 16:10 - 53 of 403

explosive, nowt wrong with big noses.
chocolat, i've taken a long, hard look at the pics but i can't see any velcro ;)

tweenie - 31 May 2006 18:02 - 54 of 403

I think it's more a case of 'spot the spray on tans' and 'no I can't do upsy's for you as my tits would fall out.'
Would also look for the velcro but I'm afraid I might go blind.

Former Manchester United star Cantona appears in US ad

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Former Manchester United star Eric Cantona is appearing in a commercial on American television supportive of the United States team in this month's World Cup football showdown.
The advertisment by Nike stresses that the US "boys" have a chance against the best in the world, with some of the best players among the millions on the planet who play the sport.
The 40-year-old French star speaks about solidarity between supporters and players and among the stars of the US squad.

He's still scrummy for a frog ;)

soul traders - 05 Jun 2006 17:53 - 57 of 403

Evening all! Did British telly show any of the World Cup opening celebrations from Frankfurt (11 p.m. Saturday)? They had music all over town and projections of football scenes on the skyscrapers.

Never mind if not; it wasn't a patch on the Olympics but pretty all the same.
