Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Teachers at Dulwich College, the south London independent school, tried to prevent the future UK Independence Party leader from becoming a prefect after offending teachers with far-Right views, it was claimed.
While on a cadet force training exercise Mr Farage and his friends had “marched through a quiet Sussex village very late at night shouting Hitler Youth songs”, according to a letter sent to the Master of the college.
Today UKIP meets for its annual conference in London.
Mr Farage said he was a “bolshie teenager who pushed the boundaries of debate” but insisted he had never been a member of a far-Right organisation. He strongly denied singing any Hitler Youth songs, saying he did not know the words.
In the letter, dated 4 June 1981, Chloe Deakin, a teacher, told her colleagues: “You will recall that at the recent, and lengthy, meeting about the selection of prefects, the remark by a colleague that Farage was ‘a fascist, but perhaps that was no reason why he would not make a good prefect’ invoked considerable reaction from members of the Common Room."
Bob Jope, a former English teacher who taught Mr Farage, told Channel 4 News: “To some extent, you might say the accusation from some staff was that Nigel had voiced views that were not simply right-wing, as nobody's going to object to a place on the spectrum, but views that were quite clearly racist.”

It seems that you think by repeating your comments it becomes true. I have even posted the details from the government covering the mechanism for obtaining NI numbers for self employed and rang them. It is quite clear that you still have to prove your right to work here.

I agree with you about the child abuse, however it is not really an immigration problem. It has more to do with the police and local council's lack of attention and absurd political correctness. There will always be immigration, it is the numbers that need attention.

Also this was at a time when many people had a different view about foreigners than is allowed now , racism was commonly used in situation comedies for instance , so maybe not fair .

Yes that english teacher did accuse Nigel Farage of 'being right wing', but he didn't say that HE was a left wing rabble rouser, and that along with Farages classmates went out of their way to wind up the left wing teachers at the school....

I've already explained how they obtain NI numbers.....
BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THE IDIOT AND DECEIVER HAYSTACKS, HERE IT IS ONCE AGAIN..
THEY GO ALONG TO THE OFFICES OF BIG ISSUE ASK TO START SELLING THE MAGAZINE, SELL IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, GO BACK TO BIG ISSUE AND ASK THEM FOR PROOF(CONFIRMATION) THAT THEY'VE BEEN SELLING THE BIG ISSUE AS A SELF EMPLOYED PERSON, THEN GO TO THE OFFICES OF THE NI AND SHOW THEM THIS 'PROOF'.......
SIMPLES JUST LIKE YOU!!

Hays if you make a radical quote like that you should justify it ,or are a lot of us the lowest common denominator ?

There are no 'offices of the NI'. The job centre handles issuing NI numbers. It is quite clear from the details above that the proof you need is the right to work in the UK and has to be shown at your interview.

That letter proves absolutely nothing besides the fact that Nigel Farage was 17 and along with many others of his classmates would wind the left wing teachers up, I and many of my classmates did the same at that age...
As to "There are no offices of the NI"
I wasn't being specific idiot, where ever they go for the NI numbers...

VIC it looks like Hays will make radical quotes and then shy away from them ,don't expect an answer.
At least most on here with any view will try and justify what they said and whether you agree or not that is fine.

What to expect at the 'Evidence of identity' interview
The interview will usually be one-to-one (unless, for example, you need an interpreter). You will be asked questions about why you need a National Insurance number, your background and circumstances.
You will also have to prove your identity. Bring as many 'identity documents' (originals, not photocopies) as you can to your interview. Examples of documents which count are:
valid passport (UK or foreign)
national identity card (UK or foreign)
residence permit or residence card including biometric immigration residency documents
full birth or adoption certificate
full marriage or civil partnership certificate
driving licence (UK or foreign)
