You deserve a medal for bravery anyway.

Perhaps you'll need a copper to lead you away to the funny farm ... lol

The Dow pre-market still shows banks are weak

cynic - 06 Oct 2008 13:47 - 399 of 569

logic for buying HBOS was as follows ......

HBOS down 25% compared to LLOY doen 18% ..... differenetial was greater eariler.

LLOY currently 272, so on original terms of 0.83, conversion = 226
If terms dropped to the mooted 0.60, then conversion = 163

I bought (this time) at 173

Good luck guys. Got to give credit to the Yanks at least they are trying to get things going, pity Brown is not doing much for us Brits.

cynic - 06 Oct 2008 14:01 - 401 of 569

exactly that ..... hats off to Bernanke who said several months ago that one of the main causes of The Depression was inaction by central gov't and that he would not allow that mistake again

Falcothou - 06 Oct 2008 14:43 - 402 of 569

Enter Le Trichet head buried in sand. It is interesting that the fear is about 300 times greater now at 10,000 than it was at 14,000 last Summer, admittedly since certain things have come to light...

hlyeo98 - 06 Oct 2008 15:04 - 403 of 569

Dow Jones showing more weakness...could go below 10,000 today

Clubman3509 - 06 Oct 2008 15:04 - 404 of 569

Lets hope Brown has something good to say at 15.30 otherwise I think FTSE will have a bigger fall than 300 points

scotinvestor - 06 Oct 2008 15:05 - 405 of 569
