How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Just having a look at todays horse racing card - in the 19.30 at Carlisle the favourite has traded as low as 1.07!

1m1f maiden stakes any significance? Has the horse been just put into the race to break it's duck?

Certainly looks as though that is the case but would it really win 13 times out of 14

Hope everyone on the course is OK, benefits from the day, which isn't spoiled too much, and gets home safe too.
I could have been on this course myself, except we have an aged relative staying and decided to wait for a later one.

Well that was an interesting day.
One attendee was on the Aldgate train that was bombed but escaped intact. Unfortunately three people did not make it to the course so currently we have no idea of their fate. Hopefully we can confirm things tomorrow. I guess they just may not have been able to reach the venue. For those that did make it we found ourselves being told to stay put as we were right in the heart of all the activity so it was very surreal. We had to make the best of what we could with sirens screaming around in the background. The venue staff abandoned the building at 2pm.

Seems the one on the Aldgate train who we know is thankfully OK was compoundup of these boards.
Have you any news on the other three yet Scrip?

I hope all will be safely accounted for.
I'm still horrified and shocked as only saw the terrifying tv pictures late last night.
I heard from a best friend from my student days who was on another section of the king's cross line during the explosions. Thankfully, he's OK.

Surely you have the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the three attendees who didn't make it - and they also have yours?
I fear this is not looking good that they did not turn up and have not contacted you to explain their absence, etc, etc.
Oh dear!
