Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Having said that, she did play a Clinton by being keeping her head below the parapet during the Brexit fight. Conscientious objector?
On balance I prefer Gove. He is very smart and comes across as being very sincere. Unusual for a politician. And behind every successful man is a successful woman - in his case Sarah Vine.

The public hate Gove as much as Hunt due to his schools changes. He may get elected leader but can't win a GE.

You do generalise Hays. Your views are not necessarily that of the public. He hardly turned away "the public" from Brexit. As for the ECHR, it is accepted by virtually all, including Russia. The USA has the greatest problem with it. The ECJ is another matter.

Gove didn't win the Brexit. It was Boris. Certainly teachers and parents hate Gove. May has the most support among Conservative MPs. Don't forget that the majority of Conservative MPs were Remainers and want a remain PM.

We won Brexit. As for the majority of MPs supporting Remain, they were on the wrong side of history. Including Theresa May. They'd better get over it. We will not allow backsliding.

There is plenty of time yet for stitch ups in the leadership campaign. It happened last time.

Haystack(3958) "Gove didn't win the Brexit. It was Boris."
No they didn't, it was Nigel Farage....Until Nigel Farage came into the limelight, the LEAVE side were begining to go backwards..Once Nigel Farage came to the fore it started going in the LEAVE sides favour.....YIIPPPPPEEEEE... c'on Nige!!!..

Farage was instrumental in getting the referendum, but was pretty useless during it by alienating a lot of the public with his extremism. A very unpleasant person.

Without Nigel there would never have been a referendum .

The tory party reminds me of:
"in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king".

Dumbo,
Why don't you stand for leader and
PM?
You would go down a bomb.

Where is Nigel when he is wanted?
Gloating at his success.
