Pineau De Re (named after a French wine) jumps the last to win the 2014 Crabbies Grand National @25/1.

Hi Davids, no secret, Grand National day ritual, up early, went out and bought a Daily Mail, opened it at the middle page, as I do every year, as usual steered clear of the favourites and looked at the middle priced horses, which narrowed the field down and apart from Tidal Bay, which I picked out of sentimental reasons, having served me well in the past, though I knew he was carrying to much weight, the others just took my fancy.......the rest was pure luck.....the winner was bumped half way through and I thought that was another down, so was very surprised when he showed up at the finish as I thought Balthazar King had it in the bag.
