The South Devon branch of SIGNet (Serious Investors Groups Network) is seeking additional members. We are a small group of experienced investors (and some traders). We meet once a month to discuss and analyse the stock markets, individual shares and related inbvestments. We are not a share club and hold no club investments but if you are seeking a friendly informal atmosphere in which to swap investment views and experiences, leave a message here.

At present we meet in South Brent, which seems central for our small number and where we have the benefit of a free meeting room at a local hostelry.

However, we are considering also using members' homes (if convenient) as the group is not large and we used to do this when we first started. But wherever we do meet, this would be between Exeter and Plymouth, as central as possible for members and handy for the A38.

By the way Andy - though you're too far from Devon to meet with us as you say, there are other groups that might be more convenient for you - Hants & Dorset, and London, West.

SIGnet also has specialist groups based around investment topics rather than geographical meeting areas - Technical Analysis, Warren Buffet Way, Technology,
Traded Options, Aggressive Trading.

Yes, long time no see. I keep meaning to get back to SWIG and I will soon..... really.

Actually, the 2 groups are neat contrasts, SIGnet is more for investors and fundamental analysts and we meet on a weekday evening. SWIG is more for traders and technical analysts and we meet on a Saturday afternoon.

Take your pick... or try both.

morning all - we are a small group of investors which meets on the third Thursday evening of each month, usually in a private room at a friendly hostelry in South Brent.

Our next meeting should be 21/09. Meetings are informal and involve lively chat on trades and investments we have recently made, plus any research members can contribute. Its a good way to swap ideas and compare thoughts with like-minded private investors.

We don't expect people to reveal their financial details and we like prospective members to come along a couple of times before making a decision on whether to join or not.
