ADVFN named Britain's Best Investment Website fourth year running
- 'highly dynamic website' wins coveted award as voted for by UK investors -
ADVFN (www.advfn.com) has once again taken first place in the prestigious Investors Chronicle Investment Awards.
ADVFN has received the 2006 award for Best Investment Website, a category which focuses on the quality of information, research, data flows and analytical tools provided by investment websites, for the fourth consecutive year.
Europe's number one stocks and shares Website won the award based on a survey of Investors Chronicle readers. ADVFN was commended for its free service, which offers a comprehensive set of analytics including quotes, charts, news, financials, Forex and futures and options, and for its range of 'premium products' including its leading edge Level 2 service.
"We have won the Best Investment Website accolade four years running, highlighting how ADVFN remains at the forefront for providing cutting edge tools and data for private investors. Our continual site developments and addition of financial information ensure that we remain the number one destination for the investment community," said Clem Chambers, CEO of ADVFN. "These awards are especially important to us as they are voted for by the investors themselves. We look forward to bringing even more to the site in 2007," he continued.

Hhhmmm. Never met Clem. Was once a member many years ago. Got poor customer service over the phone and the two advfn guys I met at a presentation were neither friendly nor helpful. So I quit and never looked back.

quick look at their last set ouf results suggests that with a turnover still less than 2M net loss of 600k and only 600k of assets your optimism on this seems a bit optomistic...only got cash left for about another 6 months by the looks of things outwith some Joint venture that seems a bit muddy...
good luck maestro think you might need it

"You're automatically censored if you mention MoneyAM on ADVFN."
IMO, strong-armed tactics, abuse and gagging is very undemocratic.
At the time, I read with great annoyance news of posters getting banned when they mentioned MoneyAm on ADVFN. I still don't know whether it was Clem's own over reaction/panic or whether it was suggested and done by one of his staff in Clem's name. Yes, I have came across those smiling, contemptible people who manipulates and uses the name of their superor to slander others for their own interests and enjoyments.
I won't be surprised if Clem was obliviously taken advantage of by one of his staff over the years.
