London Stock Exchange Announcement - Level 2 upgrade notification

IanT(MoneyAM) - 14 Sep 2007 10:54

All,

THE LSE Will be performing upgrades on their systems during the month of October. Essentially, Level 2 users should be aware that on the 3 dates shown below in October, end of day will be extended and on the 26th October, any unexecuted orders will be deleted from the book - thus meaning that there will be no orders in the book on the following Monday (29th October) until the opening auction. This will be the same for all providers.

26/10/07 All orders will be deleted from the order books in SETS and EUROSETS by close of business. The Exchange itself will be removing any remaining orders prior to moving the securities to the new systems

29/10/07 The Exchange MiFID compliant services are launched in full:

1. Market Makers will go live in SETS, EUROSETS and EQS securities.

2. SETS and EUROSETS closing prices will be based on the closing auction price (UT) or mid price (please note the pre-close VWAP period will be removed).

3. All securities will have moved to their new sectors or segments

4. New Exchange Traded Commodities Segments and Exchange Traded Funds Segment go live

In order to complete the large number data changes the Exchange will be extending End-Of-Day until 10pm on three occasions: 5/10/07, 19/10/07, 26/10/07
