Green Shoots?

Gausie - 26 Nov 2008 13:36

A fair few stocks are starting to edge up again - maybe the start of a recovery or maybe they'll be squashed flat when the dead cat bounces on them.

Post any charts here.

Qualifiers are -

recent uptrend (at least one significant higher high and one significant higher low) current price above a rising 50 day MA.

Well, almost.
Maybe :)

Choccie - ASOS looks good. RSI has been trending up since early oct and confirms the price uptrend. Nice one.

G,

How lovely to see someone starting a 'Say something positive' thread.
Most of my threads have been on the theme that the end of the world is
not nye - even if it is for our pretty stupid bankers.

I find the Bullish Percentage chart quite indicative. It compares those
shares with point and figure buys and those with sell signals across the
whole of the S&P 500. Sadly it is not yet showing much in the green shoot scenario.
But I'll post it below and maybe again a few days later if anyone is interested.

G,

Might it be worth editing your header message so we don't get the scroll bar all the time? Thought is was me for a while - hence my odd looking text.

Have edited. I guess you're using ie? Firefox breaks the line up for you.

I have this on my stockwatch purely as a market gauge

Never traded it, but I know a man who stocked up as near as dammit to the low ;)
But there is currently a blip at the end.

Beware what the winter frosts will do to premature green shoots.

Randgold Resources might also just be about to enter the FTSE 100

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=TATE&S

Tate and Lyle are also another possible entrant

Some nice charts there Doc - especially randgold with the rising MA and through minor resistance @ 2200 and 2400.

ExecLine - 28 Nov 2008 14:26 - 17 of 297

Randgold is by far the best of the three. I think it could easily hit 30 by Christmas.

Interestingly, I read how some commentators are saying gold might hit $2000 per ounce by this time next year. So Randgold could actually be more than 60 by next Christmas.....
