Chicago PMI rises to 56.8

The Chicago Institute for Supply Management's Purchasing Managers' Index rose by 1.2 points to 56.8 in February - its highest level since last March.

The Institute said the improvement in its business barometer was concurrent with gains in new orders, order backlogs, and supplier deliveries while production and employment expanded at a slower pace.
