I have a Philips DVD recorder and I wondered if there were any experts on the possible types of media that these things use. There are:-

DVD-R
DVD+R
DVD-RW
DVD+RW
DVD-RAM

having said that does anyone know how to copy CD-G discs?

The real nightmare has turned out to be the sequence of connecting scart cables between TV, Videotape, Sat and DVD. There are two sockets on each and it seems impossible to be able to make them all work to be able to record on tape or DVD from any source. I haven't even tried recording tape to DVD or DVD to tape.
