two years ago one of the managers of a company I worked for read in the newspaper that if the police could not identify the driver then they could not prosecute.
So he replied stating that we did not know who was driving the vehicle. The police requested that someone from the company should take a look at the "picture" and see if they could identify the driver. He sent me and told me that unless it was 100% clear that he was driving, then I must not say who I thought it was. I did as was told. Two months later the company was fined 300 for not being able to identify the driver and had to pay 150 in costs!
All because he read a newspaper article and thought he could get away with it. (He lost the company car 3 months later!!!!! :))
