ROYAL DOULTON - LAST OF THE UNDERVALUED SHARES (RDN)

moneyman - 27 Aug 2003 22:20

Is there a bid comming ? Is it undervalued ? All I will say is DYOR but results are due w/c 8th Sept.

WhiteSox1 - 28 Aug 2003 13:49 - 4 of 6

Agree Legins about being hardly undervalued.
But it is a marketing Gem and a global brand name that is the best of British and would be an asset to any company in that field and a potential bid at this price should not be ruled out
Though talk of moving production to SE Asia could well tarnish the brand name from something that is quintessential to these Isles, and has not been well recieved in some quarters of the media, nor for that matter by it's loyal customer base.
Could certainly be one for the field to follow next in the"penny shares stakes" though after the hysteria of MMD,Minmet,Griffin,OMH and Yoo has died down...ALL good potential recovery stocks, but all capable of being pulled up or falling at the next hurdle, on failure to respond to the whip or simply just running out of steam.....:)
Possible bid though and have it on my watch list....

Legins I agree with what Mitch has to say.The value of the company is worth a far sight more than current levels.OK who was dumping ? Yep the PRU again.Well they have been dumping a hell of alot of stock recently. The question is where has the stock gone?

There has been no warning re trading leading upto the results and if the forward looking view is positive then this may well double from current levels.

There are not too many recovery stocks left out there but IMO this is certainly one of them.
