jules99 - 19 Sep 2003 10:51 - 4 of 17

Kcom survived the storm...phewww...

Was a bit worried as I overlooked the Expiry day bewitching...

Decided to stay long...quiet on the take so far this am...hopefully pickup next week...

anyone holding at low price?

richstuch - 19 Sep 2003 11:04 - 5 of 17

unfortunately i only got in at 61.95 which seems to be just above the support level so I'm hoping that it doesn't drop through. If it does, it could go anywhere

jules99 - 19 Sep 2003 11:12 - 6 of 17

Richstuch...If it did.. guess we'll just have to go to church on sundays...lol...

It might turn out to be a lucky trade in the end, i agree with support levl also...overall have a feeling they will be ok...could see demand pickup ltr..an uprising B4 late afternoon is always possible...next week more realistic...going to stick it out..

stay lucky...

Market as a whole is down. KCOM will go back up when the market goes up!

- ALthough it used to go up when the market was down, and down when the market up!

Jules99,

Just to say thxs, have been reading your stock pic threads with interest. Fwiw, out of the IT hardware/software and support services sectors, I really like CTM and CW. (Business Telecoms) ahead of all the rest.

Obviously, like others, they have had a good run and, therefore, will probably settle back with the rest of the mkt yet before I re-enter on account of my position trading..through my traditional broker..yep, no hassles! Anyhow, you might want to take a look at them...as well!

All the best for now.

Toml,

Thanks for the support...Kcom hopefully should come back when the market bounces back, next week...I am a fan of Colt and CW however I will start CFD trading next week, If I am successful and make profit/s, I will invest slowly into selective stocks incl Colt and CW, this will NOT include Telewest...sorry TWT fans.

I hope now to concentrate on FTSE 100 stocks and few other selectives for trading, and see how my strategy develops, wish me luck...!

KCOM hurry up, Im starving...!

Ta.

Jules99,

Why not TWT? I have a truck load of this. Bought in at just over 3p many moons ago. Some days I feel this stock will make me money and other days I feel that it's jinxed! Can't afford to sell it at the moment as the loss is too great.

Any comforting words?

Hi Jules99, not been around much - I have a seperate part-time job which at a the moment I'm doing extra covering others on courses, & job gaps. (Not so bad if only covering 1 person, but I'm actually covering 2 - one in London, and one in Southampton!) I also stupidly agreed to finish all the work I started in my other work before I leave but they made my assistant redundant, so it's taking longer to leave!

TWT - mmmmmmm I played with this a bit, and did very well, but would not go near it now. If they don't merge with NTL sooner rather than later(another dodgy company financially) they will go bust.

Good Luck to ALL holding...good value at this price...that was mine going through about 5 mins ago 13k @ .56.looks oversold....can see 10% no problem.

L/woman...right to avoid TWT...managemaent are impotant and D4E is controlled and being run by the bondholders/banks. LOST 4k on it by trusting/believing the last regime(present no different!) took a long time to get back!
Only winners of this" 'ol dog" is the fat cat pay off CB will get....similar to the last regimes A Singer who walked away with a 7 figure pay off.

Hi All-
Nice to have fellows freinds discussing telecoms today...been away from desk last 2 weeks on/off...

saying that started CFD trading today...all things positive...

went
long COLT...AT 91P
LONG ARM ar 96p...

hopefully DOW retreats for pause...today and next week...hoping for 10% on each...

So far as investment is concerned I cant take risk in trading TWT...risks too high for me...sorry just personal opinion...

TomL - 26 Sep 2003 22:27 - 16 of 17

Jules99,

I do wish you luck, but if you have developed you trading approach thoroughly then no doubt luck will probably smile on you...:>)

In dot.com2000 IT hardware and software sectors led the way. This time round, I believe it will be Telecoms and Support Services, the former in particular.

I think it too early to re-enter the long side of the mkt at the moment, so am holding off.

The stocks I am targetting in these sectors presently are:-

Low/medium risk - AIE;CW.;OOM;VOD

Medium risk - CTM

High risk - AHT;BATM;IMG.

I use a traditional broker on T10, with most trades holding between 4-18 weeks.

All the best for now.
TomL.
