I agree.
The advertising on here is just getting rediculous.
At worst they should be kept off the face of the web page.

panicware ad blocker is good, but doesn't stop flash pop ups.
I think you should only be subjected to pops up the first time you log in, not every time you visit a page.

You are right about panic ware. A good ad stopper. Dont these people do research. They would find that one of the biggest turn offs is pop ups. It will put off a lot of new visitors.
To stop flash pop ups disable your flash plu in. However it may effect visits to flash sites but you can always turn it back on.

alternatively you get the Opera web browser (free) and set the preferences to disable Popups - www.webattack.com

Download the google toolbar, apart from a good search engine it gets rid of pop ups.

I rarely use Moneyam for serious analysis now (only to visit the BB) for that very same reason. Tried using one of the pop-ups but it stopped me accessing my IG account.

If you put in Norton Firewall it will stop all the pop ups and most of the other adverts. It may prevent access to some things you need, but parts of it can easily be switched off and on again. Pop ups can be a curse.

I never read pop ups, on principle. They are like spam.

Add another one to the "you're taking the piss" file - 4 popups from one web-page? No thanks!

Yep I thought it was sorted, they taking the piss, I just came in today and 4 pop ups in a row. Come on Moneyam, thats taking the piss, I have other windows open as well you know, and 4 popups cause all the other windows to go into a group. NOT VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Homer,
These are now only concentrated on the front page, so i can understand your concerns about the 4 pop ups, but once off the front page you would not encouter them again.

Ian

I wonder how many people actually read pop ups. I know I don't. I close them before they even finish loading the image (although when there are 4 of them in succession it is hard keeping up). Even if I did manage to see what was being advertised, I wouldn't buy anything from them out of principle.
Put the ads on the page like the broker ads that there currently are. IF I want to look at the services, I'll click on the ad - at least that way I have a CHOICE to ignore them if I'm not interested.
Another alternative could be to remove the popups for subscribers. After all, I really don't want to pay to receive another form of SPAM.
Hope you can sort this out MoneyAM.
Rich
