Opinions ?

hangon - 25 Jan 2005 17:57 - 4 of 8

Sold out on a rise last year, so don't care.....it was local to me and I wanted to support the business - fat chance. They don't seem to do anything that others don't do better. Ottakers had some bad times a while ago but have pulled themselves out - I would have expected Sameday to track that - but maybe there is more competition and that really means economies of scale are all wrong.
The ann in Jan05 points to lower losses, but heck I want a profit from an investment. That said, this stock just doesn't smell sweet enough to me. If they continue to send me the Annual Report I might buy in, on weakness, but I suspect they won't.

Today 0.2p - oh dear, doesn't look like there will be solid good news too soon......and we are all hoping Christmas will be Retail's savior - well I'm glad I got out.......it's about time Mangement did the decent thing and had itself replaced.

If they have the infrastructure to sell books - why not other (small) high-value items that have to be customised - pens/pencils with your name on etc etc?
Grr.

hangon - 29 Nov 2005 17:38 - 6 of 8

62% rise the following day, MAYBE makes yesterday's comment look silly - BUT it hardly makes a difference to the sp graph.
Somone has bought 7million shares (presumably near- yesterday's 0.2p) which equates to an investment of 14 Grand ...... hardly a large investment although many times greater...... than anyone else was prepared to invest - Oi.
I hope this bod has good reasons to invest, maybe to force changes etc.
Regards.

This stock isn't exactly humming, is it?
All IMHO

hangon - 30 Apr 2007 15:44 - 7 of 8

Finally taken out. well under 1p (0.6p) - ha!

What a waste of a listing this has been...presumably just about everyone made a loss on this woeful bunch of Execs.
In 2004 I sold mine at a marginal profit, which covered the paperwork only. I just think they couldn't get their heads arround the notion of being an Internet Bookseller and a Retail Shop - almost opposite ends of the Trade some might think.
Grr - another wasteful listing on AIM - investors should be protected against such poor managements. I'm sure they all were well rewarded and took holidays, have pensions and the like - hardly acted in retail-investors interests, did they?
+ I still wonder who invested way back in 2005 - that 14k has become a nice earner, eh? Still, even that was a foolish investment for anyone unconnected, since the whole thing was likely to fall over.

All IMHO.

Hey, it's mid-June 2007 - and still this rattles on!
The 0.6pence offer is only accepted by 54% ( IC today)...so it doesn't look a like a stampede - - - perhaps the balance is Mangement-owned, (and they never rush anything).
The \Mystery Bidder\ is Charles Denton. . . . well, Charles; I wish you good fortune on this, -if you're quick you might just get some Harry Potter stuff...
..
This has been another one of those Disasters, for investors.
