08 Dec 2003, LONDON (AFX) - Intelligent Environments Group PLC, the online software provider for financial services, said it has launched a new product targeted at the Life and Pension market.

The company said it has already signed up two global financial institutions and is developing a pipeline of opportunities in the UK and abroad. Revenue in 2003 will exceed 250,000 stg.

Phillip Blundell, chief executive of iE, said: 'The extension of our NetFinance product suite is another example of iE's focus on delivering products which help financial institutions fully exploit the commercial benefits of the Internet.'

Touching bottom

Shares tipped Intelligent Environments (IEN) a few weeks ago. Looking at the graph, there has been plenty of progress recently. This could be the top, yet the graph shows another peak might be about to be formed. Its not easy to tell after such a big increase where any support/ resistance might be. Can you shed any more light on it?

David Jones replies: Its always tricky with small shares like this which have experienced a sharp move to figure out where they may go next, but the trend is still up so the textbook assumption is that this should continue. The first support level to watch is 11p when it dipped down to here earlier this month the buyers came back in, so the first signs of trouble would be if it were to slip below here. For now, a move back to 14p/15p is expected.

Appointment of NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Intelligent Environments Group plc ('iE'), the online software provider for
financial services, announces that Ian Peters will be appointed as a
Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 8 March 2004.

Ian Peters, 45, is an experienced financial services executive. His previous
roles have included Managing Director of Goldfish Bank; the financial services
joint venture between Centrica and LloydsTSB; Chief Operating Officer of Marsh
Industry Practices Europe, a division of Marsh McLennan, the world's leading
risk and insurance services firm; as well as a number of senior positions,
including Director of Merchant Services, at NatWest Bank, the largest credit
card acquirer in Europe.

In welcoming him to the Board, iE's chairman, Clive Richards, said:

'Ian Peters' experience of major financial services providers at the most senior
level, coupled with his business development skills, will be a great asset as iE
enters a new phase of growth. The Company is broadening its product portfolio
to sell a wider range of web-based financial services products to significant
new customers, both directly and through our partners including LogicaCMG, Bank
of New York and First Data International. This appointment is an endorsement of
our turnaround and reflects our ambitions for the future'
