Log in/out annoyances (LOG)

stockbunny - 04 Dec 2003 13:13

Is there a problem with the site's log in/out facility?
It is proving really annoying as over the last two days
after having logged in, the 'home page' states I am not logged
in but on trying to re-log in, it decides finally I am in fact
logged in after all - the same thing is occurring with
logging out. Not a big deal I know, but irritating!!!

stockbunny,

below are some instructions on how to check and enable your session cookies e mail me if you have any problems:

ian@moneyam.com

"Thank you for contacting MoneyAM.

From what you have told us, it seems that your browser is not accepting
what are called 'session cookies', this has the effect of not letting you
log onto http://www.MoneyAM.com/

In Internet Explorer 6 to enable session cookies, please do the following:
Go to the 'Tools' menu, click 'Internet Options', then go to the 'Privacy'
tab and finally click on the 'Advanced' button.

In there you should see an option which reads:
'Always allow session cookies'

Please ensure that is checked (with a tick in the box) before trying to
log into MoneyAM again.

Everything should now work, and you should be able to log into MoneyAM
successfully."

Hello,

when you say 'the last few days', is there any chance you can be more specific? I have installed 3 bits of new hardware this week, and what day it started will help me narrow down which piece of hardware may be causing it.

thanks!

I first noticed this on Tuesday and didn`t give it much attention until it happened a few times.
My cookies are enabled, and my browser is the Camino browser for the Applemac.
It happened with the other browser I sometimes use, which is the Mozzila Browser Firebird.
I no longer use I.E. too slow on the Applemac.
Regards.

Just had to sign out and back in (15.17) and it all went like
clockwork, so presumably you guys have done something clever at
your end...?

stockbunny,

no, nothing done yet. However i have located the source of the problem, and it will be resolved in the next release of MoneyAM (hopefully later today)

J.
