Are ACTIF becoming Active? (ACT)

Philcom - 07 Dec 2003 10:49

Shares magazine highlighted Actif Group as a play of the week a month ago at which time they were 8.12p having slid back from 10p. I noticed on friday they closed up at 9.12p an increase of 1.4% on the back of 139,000 traded shares. I have looked at their website www.actifgroup.com and you can't help but be impressed by it and their strategy of having outlets in the "best" places looks very sound. Does anybody have any thoughts on ACTIF as to them being a long, short or even a vulnerable proposition? I dont hold any shares so I guess im fishing for encouragement?

www.actifgroup.com - I accept Andrews point about the share price info and that it might be a negative reflection from the company, but the rest of the web page looks ok to me - It doesn't leave much doubt about what they're all about and where etc - but then I may be being influenced to much by the nice ladies!!

it must be a programing mistake. Now a day everything should be automated, lik to data base, hence auto-updating of share price and other information are not big tasks. Perhaps they were so sure their professional outsource has done already the complete job, and overseen the details. You know that that usually is. Knowing what is going on on neighbour's garden but your own ohho most of us overseen small details ...

When you ring them you should tell them the bug really. I see it as a web page bug. The webpage designer should correct it, though. It could throw a bad light on the company.

I am sure it will be corected immediately. Try, then we can see how they value share holders.

Andrew,

Sorry to hear you make a small loss. When did you sell? In trading
patience is the mother of all successes, unless you have a bigger chance to make quickand easy money somewhere else, and need to move fund immediately. My first principle what I always keep at heart, even sometime it hard to resist the temptation of profit taking.

Well, ACT seems to go in to a flat base at the moment, lean on the strong support of 8.96p, seems to form a saucer (cup and handle) pattern, once it completes this pattern it will easily attack soon the resitance 9.8p soon. As it is a retail business and Xmas is comming, there is a good chance in the game that it will try to tackle the resistance one more time.

Please note flat base (or plateau) and c+h are two very strong cash generate patterns ... but don't take my word for it, it could go up fast or down quickly as well, what I doubt due to the strong slow stable run previously and the confidence of share holders in this stock.
