I have some of these. New company; new management and NO Stephen Dean = Credability returning = higher price. Hopefully, they can new facilities management contracts to base and provide something CB holders have not been used to. EARNINGS>

snakey - 01 Mar 2004 18:48 - 5 of 151

dunskey,
very astute observations. I have always thought that my bit of money invested here was `down the chute` but with recent changes I am more heartened with seeing some return.I would say more but probably libellous!!

p.s. keep an eye on cfp, which I bought at same time as crb. i felt,at that time, that both were potential winners. moreso cfp, formerly abinger investments, which Bob Geldoff had a hand in at one time I think I`m right in stating?

Looks like not much to loose but wondered has anybody done any research or know of the new directors and their current companies. Following taken from the company announcement..."I am delighted to welcome a number of key new shareholders including Paul Whight, former Chairman of Grantchester plc and current Chairman of Pradera European Retail property fund; Ethel Austin
Investment Properties Limited, under the chairmanship of Barry Owen; and Winton
Limited and its associates.'

What do you guys see as the short term price target here

Oakapples142 - 02 Mar 2004 10:13 - 9 of 151

The Spread may not be as wide as it looks. I have just purchased 93,274 at
0.511. I expect to have a bit of a wait. But I do like large holdings for little money - and it works sometimes

Dunskey - 02 Mar 2004 11:04 - 10 of 151

Snakey,Oaksapples et al.

I'm afraid that this new managenent team have inherrited a shaky peg to hang their coats on but the fact is that they a business which is capable of substancial growth in an newly emerged sector and if they capable, they will be able to provide good returns for shareholders.

I too thought this was a gonner and survial seems to be a relief and like other long suffering shareholders it will take time to adjust to the new circumstances. As far as targets go, there is very little to base any judgement on as the last set of results have little relevance to the future and the balance sheet dosen't really provide much comfort. However, there is potential but I think that the management need to have there feet under the desk for a little longer. I am not aware of the pedegree of the management team or their achievements and would welcome any information. At this stage and in the absence of any other infoprmation this is the most important factor and will be a major determanent of our future.

Before I can get a handle on my expectations I would need to see more management comment and understand how quickly they are able to sign new contracts. The half year ends at the end of this month and perhaps we may start to get some news.

Patience may provide its own reward! DYOR

I picked up 240,000 at 0.48p. Any chance of movement this or next week.

ajren - 02 Mar 2004 11:16 - 12 of 151

Do you think I am crazy ? The price is so low and the downside so small - unless
it folds - I bought 1,000,000 yesterday.I am thinking of buying 250,000 more
this morning.I would appreciate advice/opinions.

Various searches under Google gave me a lot of info : especially Pradera....
and Granchester plc. However, unable to get much on Winton or Ethel Austin-- is
that part of the fashion chain ?Part of what I like about this company is mere
Gut Instinct about the Property market -- I owned an Estate Agency/Auctioneers
in Ireland.

I,too, like large holdings for little money.

"Cater Barnard FY losses narrow; actively pursuing acquisition opportunities"

If its looking eventually it will get.

ajren - 02 Mar 2004 11:34 - 14 of 151

Do you think we should buy more ?

thesaurus - 02 Mar 2004 11:41 - 15 of 151

I think it could be wise as there is no news at the moment, people may not be aware of its potential and therefore prices may be cheap.

A couple of news bulletins will get peoples appetite wet and hopefully start some sort of run.

Stan - 02 Mar 2004 11:45 - 16 of 151

Are people absolutely sure that Dean has nothing to do with this Company anymore?

Regards

Stan.

ajren - 02 Mar 2004 11:45 - 17 of 151

What, does anyone think, are the chances of Bad News bulletins ?

laurencecope - 02 Mar 2004 14:39 - 19 of 151

These were pushed by city equities recently and I brought 250K

Dean has gone read the RNS's

If I remember correctly the new large share holders are in the property market specifically shopping centres and this could mean that Cater Barnard could pick up some nice contracts. DYOR

ajren - 02 Mar 2004 15:03 - 20 of 151

I took a chance and upped my holding today to 1,250,000 as I think there is
great potential for upside. Also,I live in Spain i.e.euros and am very happy
with exchange rate.Investing ,for me,is particularly difficult because of
exchange rate now and trying to forecast it.

Any guesses as to what will happen at next weeks A.G.M ?
