Is this a good way to own a tracker fund?

The other advantage is that you can buy them without commission, that allows buying in smaller amounts to make the most of price changes. You can't do that with other shares!

With the big drop today now Is a chance.
Thats the good news...the bad news Is will It drop further?
But thats a Question no one can answer with certainty.
A judgement to be made then.

Stan, I know you have been using EFTs. for a long while.
Are these thro' Barclays?
Can you stop loss them.
Do they muck about with the spread.
I have a few Ishares in China.
But was a bit irritated today with LBUL, and lack of Stop loss via Barclays.
Also a bit cheese off with their changing spread at time watching and difficulties of getting in to the B system.
Anyway, how are you?
Bit cut up at the moment, but will respond to Email.

Fred,
Because of my bearish view of the economy/market I Havant actualy traded these for at a guess some years now. But to answer your questions.
"Are these thro' Barclays?". Yes but expect any other Brokers will let you trade them as well.
"Can you stop loss them". Have not tried stop losing them but works fine with limit orders.
"Do they muck about with the spread". Yes just like any other share in that respect.
"Also a bit cheese off with their changing spread at time watching" That will be down to our Market Making friends then -): again just like any other share.
"and difficulties of getting in to the B system". Tell me about it, Barclays have been absolutely useless over the last couple of months in terms of speed and customer services.
"Anyway, how are you?" Jogging along, glad the poxy winter's nearly over -):
