TECTEON PLC

Two New Products Launched

Tecteon PLC (www.tecteon.com), the software developer specialising in voice
quality and comfort listening technologies and algorithms, announces two new
products. These products have been launched to coincide with the TETRA Congress
2004 currently taking place in Vienna, Austria. This is the largest conference/
exhibition of its type with over 1,300 delegates and exhibitors. The new
products, which complement the existing product range, are:

Noise Monitoring & Logging (NM&L): The NM&L is a highly accurate communications
noise level recorder with a wide range of adjustable and provisionable noise
threshold. This technology module is particularly useful for call centres and
operations of centralised telecommunication equipment where employees can be
exposed to prolonged high levels of noise through the operating equipment such
as headsets. The noise monitoring feature of NM&L will help the employers to
comply with new regulations such as DIRECTIVE 2003/10/EC of the European
Parliament, and the ITU-P360 Recommendations. The noise exposure level is logged
at pre-defined intervals for on-line or off-line recording and analysis. This
noise logging feature can be very significant and crucial in cases where claims
or lawsuits have been filed. Additionally, to protect the user, the NM&L can
give a simple warning if instantaneous and/or average noise exposure reaches
uncomfortable or harmful levels.

Speech Level Enhancement (SLE): The SLE automatically adjusts the received
speech signal level based on the ambient noise "sensed" by the same microphone
used for speech transmission. The SLE operates in a similar concept to car
"climate control". It increases the speech level in relation to the ambient
noise. The SLE is designed to provide easy listening by automatically enhancing
the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) in environments with varying ambient noise, such
as factories, call centres, outdoor environments, etc. The SLE can accept full
range of telephony & mobile signal levels. It delivers adjustable SNR levels
with no amplification of narrowband tones (such as DTMF or signalling tones),
and with no extra delay in the audio path.

Both of the modules have very small memory and computation footprint and can
therefore be delivered on the customers DSP (Digital Signal Processing) platform
of choice.

Masoud Ahmadi, Managing Director, Tecteon plc, commented:

"These modules further enhance our product portfolio, enabling us to offer
unique voice quality solutions to take full advantage of identified and targeted
markets such as call centres, headset manufacturers and digital mobile radios
such as TETRA and GSM."

TECTEON PLC

Product delivery to Telecommunication Equipment manufacturer

Tecteon PLC (www.tecteon.com), the software developer specialising in voice
quality and comfort listening technologies and algorithms, announces that
product integration and development for the contract announced in early
September has been completed and the sample unit has been delivered to the
customer who wishes to remain anonymous at this time. The product, a business
telephony unit is scheduled for mass production in early 2005.

The product is designed to deliver high quality voice with minimum listening
effort, while protecting the user from acoustic shocks and high levels of noise
exposure. These protections are required by the new guidelines and regulations
which are to become law in Feb 2006. Tecteon has achieved this by integrating
its proprietary technologies such as Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC), Acoustic
Shock Protection (ASP), Line Echo Cancellation (LEC) and Automatic Gain Control
(AGC) in this new and exciting product.

Amir Nooral, Head of Sales & Marketing, Tecteon plc commented:

"We're very pleased to announce the completion of this development in such a
short period of time. This is a testimony to our engineering capabilities and
know-how. We look forward to the production and deployment of this important
product which complies with the latest health & safety regulations."

Looks like everybody has forgotten this one - just as well - it is a one day wonder - it rises and falls while you are wondering!!

FT - 09 Feb 2005 12:15 - 7 of 50

and why? have not seen any trigger.

regandjess1 - 09 Feb 2005 13:38 - 8 of 50

Can anybody tell me why on this site, this share is shown under the oil and gas exploration sector.

warranty - 09 Feb 2005 17:53 - 9 of 50

Regandjess, TEO was originally Dominion Energy an oil and gas explorer but this was floated on OFEX. TEO is the new name after splitting off, still holds a large share in DOM and consequently until the noise reduction side really takes off or they dispose of DOM it will remain in the "wrong" sector.

chumila - 10 Feb 2005 13:38 - 10 of 50

At least 10p by summer 2005

chumila - 22 Feb 2005 13:24 - 11 of 50

after all my predictions were right. I still believe TEO can cross the 10p mark by summer 2005.

There is a useful Edison report on Tecteon at this address, you need Adobe to open it.

TECTEON PLC

Tecteon Joins the CCMA Acoustic Safety Programme

Tecteon PLC (http://www.tecteon.com), a leading provider of voice quality,
comfort listening and hearing protection technologies and solutions, announces
that it is supporting the CCMA (Call Centre Management Association) Acoustic
Safety Programme (http://www.acousticshock.org). The Acoustic Safety Programme
has been put in place to bring about the necessary health & safety improvements
to protect the UK's 1 million call centre operators from the risks associated
with acoustic shock, and to safeguard the value of this significant employment
sector. The programme is supported by the DTI, TUC, CWU and HSE, amongst others,
and is sponsored by several leading industry parties.

Tecteon is heavily focused on delivering technically challenging solutions to
protect call centre operators against acoustic shock and average daily noise
exposure levels and regards the acoustic safety programme as crucial to the
operatives' well-being.

Amir Nooral, CEO of Tecteon commented:

"We fully support the objectives of this vital programme and its aim to ensure
the safety of call centre operators. The programme's achievement thus far in
bringing together key parties from the Industry, Unions, Government agencies and
technology providers is quite remarkable. The programme has outlined
comprehensive plans on raising awareness, training and addressing the serious
issues concerning acoustic shock and its consequences to call centre employees,
whom represent the largest employment sector in the UK. Tecteon is already
working closely with its existing partners to address these challenges; and we
are eager to start working with other sponsors of this Program to better
understand and better address the issues of acoustic shock and its adverse
effects on call centre operators."

David Lilly, Project Director, the CCMA Acoustic Safety Programme said:

"The CCMA Acoustic Safety Programme and its Government and Industry supporters
are delighted to have the participation and support of Tecteon PLC. This
Public-Private Initiative is aimed at reducing the proven and serious risks
faced by operators in call centres from the symptoms caused by acoustic shocks
and noise interference. With the participation of Tecteon PLC alongside the
Programme's other market leading headset & desktop technology, occupational
health and learning providers, we can now claim that the Acoustic Safety
Programme presents the World's first combined solution and opportunity for
employers to gain accurate knowledge on the elimination and treatment of the
causes and effects of acoustic shock and noise interference to operators in the
call centre environment."

Keith Broughton, Program Chairmen and former HM Principal Specialist Inspector
(Noise & Vibration) HSE, observed:

"Tecteon's acoustic shock solution is the most advanced protection technology we
have seen on the market to-date. Of equal importance is Tecteon's aim to ensure
that their product remains compatible with all appropriate call centre operator
headset and desktop prevention and monitoring device products. Tecteon PLC has
demonstrated the merits of their groundbreaking advancements in digital
acoustics signal processing and we are delighted to be able to introduce their
safety and enhancement products to the UK market as an integral part of our
Acoustic Safety Programme solution."
