I recently installed Norton Internet Security 2004 and have been unable to receive streaming prices on the free level. However if I disable NIS but leave NAV autoprotect active I can , sometimes, access the price downloads. I have tried Nortons solutions but still no success. Can anybody help please?

Thanks to both of you. I am running win98SE so am using NIS firewall. Personal firewall is set to custom and both Java and activex controls are allowed.
Even with only the security and antivirus selections enabled in NIS I still get no downloads . I have to disable the 'security' option.
Software was loaded from disk and on a reformatted harddrive.

Hi dotcunningham, I had a similar problem. I have prog System Suite installed which had its own firewall built in, caused no end of problems, disabled that and just have my Macafee firewall running. My problems were solved.
Sorry I cant be of more help.

Dot,
can you check whether you have script blocking enabled or disabled on Norton? This is found by clicking on options and then on anti virus.

Ian
Script blocking is on, there is no facility to turn it on/off in NAV.
Went to Privacy Control in NIS, then custom and unchecked both browser privacy and secure connections, restarted m/c. Got the cannot find server screen in place of logon screen.
Java
Downloaded latest software from Java site via link in FAQ.

Hi Harry
I was using PC-cillin with firewall previously without this problem but when it came to renewal I decided to try Norton.
Popups
Go to the Google site and select services and tools (I think) and download the toolbar. It is brilliant at blocking popups and autofills forms etc.
