Solar Integrated Technologies (SIT)

tallsiii - 07 Apr 2005 13:46

Has anyone got in on this one? It looks like a good prospect.

It is a rapidly expanding alternative energy company that should do well as energy prices rise with the current shortage of fossil fuels.

Got a few myself.

I'm expecting more solar companies to be floated in the future, many companies have divisions for solar including the major oil companies and the likes of Sharp a manufacturer of panels... Also demand in the flexible type panel is storming, used on sail boats etc... Good technology to be in and should see competition very soon.... Best of luck on SIT everyone..

Breaking out again.

Solar Integrated Tech says has 'significant working capital needs'
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Solar Integrated Technologies Inc has warned it still has significant working capital requirements and expects to be in non-compliance with certain financial covenants under its credit facility with an affiliate of GE Energy Financial Services for the quarter ending June 30 2006.

The company added it may not be able to obtain the necessary waivers.

A statement from the AIM-listed company said it plans to raise additional working capital to fund its continued growth, position itself to take advantage of certain value-generating opportunities, and ensure it has sufficient capital to be an attractive partner for customers and suppliers.

The company, which provides building integrated photovoltaic roofing systems, is proposing to amend the company's articles of incorporation at a shareholders meeting on July 13 to increase the maximum number of authorized shares from 50 mln to 250 mln and issue up to 20 mln common shares at any time until the next annual meeting of shareholders.

cynic - 23 Jan 2007 12:54 - 12 of 27

TRY RUNNING A SINGLE THREAD!!

for the benfit of those who have bought, here is what I posted yesterday on the other thread

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=SIT&Si

red = 50 dma
green = 200 dma

i dare say this is an interesting gamble, but beware the bubble ..... though sp could jump again today as yesterday's news is digested, it may just as easily falter on the basisi that the news is now out.

cynic - 23 Jan 2007 12:56 - 13 of 27

in particular, watch what happens when 200 dma point is hit ...... sp is quite likely to falter especially after such a sharp and stronmg surge ..... however, if the momentum is sufficeintly behind it, it may continue on upwards ..... but not ad infinitum of course!

oilyrag - 23 Jan 2007 13:51 - 14 of 27

Hi cynic, do you know what an L trade is please.

cynic - 23 Jan 2007 14:52 - 15 of 27

for Learners! ...... sorry; don't know .... there is a glossary somewhere on this system but don't know where

oilyrag - 23 Jan 2007 15:00 - 16 of 27

Thanks cynic, I found it on the help page under trades. Its a late trade reported the following day.

driver - 23 Jan 2007 16:35 - 17 of 27

Tried to buy this morning but Barclays said I had to sigh a W** form first then post it in, so I gave it a miss better luck next time.

maestro - 23 Jan 2007 16:42 - 18 of 27

driver..open a spread bet account with IG and tell them to get $$$$ed

cynic - 24 Jan 2007 16:11 - 19 of 27

i know maestro has his "moments" with IG, but i have worked with them for a good number of years and always found them very helpful ...... not sure about the s/b side but certainly with CFDs, i often get a better price by talking direct, when the market will be checked at that minute.

Tonker - 24 Jan 2007 17:20 - 20 of 27

Cynic, what is your thoughts on this stock in the very short term....

cynic - 24 Jan 2007 17:44 - 21 of 27

none really ..... i suspect it has already gone up too far too fast; i suspect if/when it hits 200 dma it will falter ...... as you have seen today, sp is very volatile ranging between 59 and 76 with a wide 5p spread ...... personally i shall not be buying, at least not in the immediate future

maestro - 24 Jan 2007 18:27 - 22 of 27

must admit i couldn't resist the profit at 74p...looking to get back in again when opportunity arises

Tonker - 25 Jan 2007 07:37 - 23 of 27

These boys have been mentioned in yesterdays ft, saying there could be a big deal with walmart.... I will paste the article when i can find it online
