EK aka Simon Cawkwell just bought into EMED (EMED)

gordon geko - 31 Jan 2006 16:08

he bought 500k this morning expect it to be in his diary this week watch it go
he was into CHP recently and that doubled ....

gordon geko - 31 Jan 2006 16:38 - 4 of 73

he thinks it will be above 15p in the short term which proablyu means nearer 20p

M_P_H - 31 Jan 2006 16:38 - 5 of 73

EK has also made the comment that he expects CHP to double again shortly.

gordon geko - 31 Jan 2006 16:59 - 6 of 73

he's not infalable but has more 'luck' than most of us best to be on his side than not

mickeyskint - 31 Jan 2006 17:07 - 7 of 73

From the other place. Make of it what you will, could be cobblers.

Simon Cawkwell - 31 Jan'06 - 10:37 - 21 of 23

Gentlemen,

I bought 500,000 Emed at 10.75p this morning. 20p here we come.

Simon Cawkwell

Willybaby - 31 Jan'06 - 15:37 - 22 of 23

Simon/Evil,

What's attracted you to this tiddler? I can't see the story. Will this see 20p this year?

Simon Cawkwell - 31 Jan'06 - 16:53 - 23 of 23

Willybaby,

I expect the hotting to start on friday afternoon. Sell on Mnoday next.

Simon Cawkwell

profitmaker - 31 Jan 2006 20:39 - 8 of 73

Wow! There must be something about this minnow that has caught Evil's eye. Mkt cap 7m, this could double and still not be on the 'City's radar'. With the backing Evil has, I know who I would follow.

pisces - 31 Jan 2006 22:04 - 9 of 73

What a bunch of narrow minded rampers, you should be banned.

AIM: EMED
1st February 2006

ZLATINIKY GOLD ANOMALY IDENTIFIED

Eastern Mediterranean Resources Public Limited ('EMED') announces that assays
from stream sediment sampling at the Company's 100%-owned Zlatniky prospect has
identified the Stara Hora area as being highly anomalous in gold.

The Zlatniky licence area is located in western Slovakia and the exploration
objective is to discover the bedrock source of gold mined historically from
paleo-placers.

Assays have now been received from a first-pass surface geochemical survey over
three areas within the potential provenance of the alluvial gold. These areas
all contain indications of gold mineralisation recorded by previous explorers.
EMED's survey collected 129 stream sediment samples, 60 rock chip samples and 23
soil samples.

Hydrothermal quartz-vein float is widespread in the drainages of the northern
half of the licence area. This quartz is often sulphidic, sometimes anomalous
in gold, base metals and other indicator elements.

Assays from EMED's stream sediment sampling have:

Highlighted the Stara Hora area as highly anomalous in gold with two
adjacent streams containing sediments assaying 226 ppb gold and 183 ppb
gold. A rock float sample of vein quartz from a third adjacent stream
assayed 3.9 g/t gold.
Generated an extensive (1.5km by 0.5km) coincident arsenic, copper, lead
and silver anomaly from drainages in the Tri Buky area.

Follow-up soil and rock-chip sampling is planned for spring 2006 with the
objective of establishing early targets for trenching and drilling.

from the website

EMED has now established a strong position in the following three areas within its area on interest:

Cyprus exploration areas are centred on the Troodos ophiolite complex. The targeted mineralisation style is volcanic-hosted massive sulphide copper deposits under shallow cover rocks, similar to the larger past Cyprus copper mines - three of which exceeded 10 million tonnes of ore running at grades between 1% and 4.5%. EMEDs initial Cyprus drilling program during the December 2005 quarter intercepted significant alteration and sulphides with disseminated copper mineralisation at the North Alestos prospect.

Eastern Europe exploration areas are centred on a cluster of volcanic centres in Slovakia and Hungary. Low-detection geochemical methods are being applied to these areas for the first time. The targeted mineralisation styles are high-grade epithermal gold, or bulk-mineable epithermal gold and porphyry copper-gold.

Caucasus exploration areas and options over additional prospects forming a cluster of gold prospects in and around Georgia. Main prospect is Zophkito with resources (Russian classification) of 2 million ounces of gold. Focusing on gold in heavily mineralised locations where gold was overlooked in Soviet era.

Significant recent political changes in the region provide opportunities as well as challenges. The lack of recent mine developments in many countries has caused lack of familiarity with the risks and rewards of mining. In this lack of empathy, EMED sees both challenge and opportunity

gordon geko - 01 Feb 2006 12:23 - 12 of 73

hoping EK will enlighten us in his diary this/next week

mickeyskint - 01 Feb 2006 12:56 - 13 of 73

EK is a wealthy man and can afford to get it wrong. Those of you who aren't as well heeled be careful and DYOR. Very speculative and in EK's own words " A mine is a hole in the ground with a liar standing next to it".

Confidant - 01 Feb 2006 14:44 - 14 of 73

this thread makes me laugh. You've got to give EK some credit. He hears some rumours buys some shares. Tells the world . The share moves more on his tip than on the day the company finds gold.

When I say "finds" I think that's a bit strong. This company has picked up a few stones off a river bed. I am not up with all the terminology but I think ppm is parts per million so can I guess ppb, as mentioned, is parts per billion !!!

If you want a gold stock look at ORM. MC 17m with 1moz in the ground. As for EK he's probably out with a 30% turn by now. As long as there are suckers this guy will do the sucking

TheFrenchConnection - 02 Feb 2006 01:09 - 15 of 73

Amities Confidant ...My sentiments exactly. This thread is a total hoot !. Simon C is merely illustrating and exploiting the simple adage that theres a a fool born every minute. He is a first class accountant. He brought the Maxwell empire to its knees after scrutinizing thier books .Thats his sole claim to fame . . . But nothing more: and nothing less. Rememeber Regus under chapter 10 bankruptcy Simon and your massive " short " ...? Do share with the sheep your losses ......,,,,,This court jesters antics are quite amusing ; but i am here to make money ;and not merely to be amused. ....@+ ....

goldfinger - 02 Feb 2006 02:53 - 16 of 73

Im told nothing in his diary today about the above stock . Hes said to have posted at 16.27.

Might be leaving it while friday.

cheers GF.

aldwickk - 02 Feb 2006 08:18 - 17 of 73

J, [ T FC ]

Does that go for KYS also , that share as been flat lining for 2 months now.

gordon geko - 02 Feb 2006 08:59 - 18 of 73

from uk-analyst today

News of a gold find helped to take the shares of East Mediterranean Resources 1.875p higher to 13.375p. The company announced that assays from stream sediment sampling at its 100%-owned Zlatniky prospect had identified the Stara Hora area as being highly anomalous in gold. The Zlatniky licence area is located in western Slovakiam where the exploration objective is to discover the bedrock source of gold mined historically from paleo-placers. Assays have now been received from a first-pass surface geochemical survey over three areas within the potential provenance of the alluvial gold. These areas all contain indications of gold mineralisation recorded by previous explorers.

see the pump and dump thread

TheFrenchConnection - 02 Feb 2006 20:42 - 20 of 73

Amities R. {aldwick } ...You raise a moot point Roly. But nots let forget Simon didnt merely tip KYS: he wanted to chairman the board . And in fact did so until he contravened fiscal law and bought stock during a "closed period" { blamed his broker ,of course } ln addition he tipped his father in law, a Crown court judge, to buy a shed full . Considering how close to the wind this man sails the judiciary are the very last people of whom he could wish to fall foul ....As for flatlining My very fave share-JKX-stood at 42/44p for an eternity yet 18 months later they are trading in the 340/370 parameter. ......Gimme oil and gimme gold . !! ,,@+ J

goldfinger - 03 Feb 2006 13:32 - 21 of 73

No mention in evils diary today.

cheers GF.

gordon geko - 03 Feb 2006 13:41 - 22 of 73

do you think he's still in ?

mickeyskint - 03 Feb 2006 14:50 - 23 of 73

Who knows gordon. He made no mention of the buy in his diary.
