Northern Solid as a Rock (NRK)

mwoolgar - 17 Feb 2006 19:27

anyone got any ideas as to why this one has been steadily climbing by about 20% in last 3 or 4 wks

piston
looks like you were ahead of the game a bit...strongly rumoured that Bradford and Bingley are coming in with an offer for NRK (see Times On Sunday on 19th Feb). What a brilliant solid share this one is. Steady gains, fantsatic divis and now maybe a takeover

good luck

Northern Solid as a Rock

But for UK Govt intervention NRK would be in administration and shareholders and savers would have lost the bulk of their investments. Now the sharks are circling to feed off the situation and everyone involved is between a rock and a hard place fending off the feeders. (Sharks feeding is a better illustration than dog eat dog in this case). The PRUDENCE of the govt is to be questioned. However if they spend 40 billion on NRK they won't spend 80 billion on the new Trident, new wars, or, any more on schools and hospital staffing.

Maybe the govt will bail out all bankrupcies from now as a precedent has been set.

A question arises = If 40 billion is LOST, does the bank just print more??

Remember you can repair the situation at the ballot box.... eventually.

well its in circulation now and 40 billion more and 80 billion in total must weaken the currency just slightly
