I bought into these today after reading a good trading statement and results due very soon. 3 institutions on board-figures up 70% on last year so far so I expect good results. Floated Sept 05 and it is called the carphone warehouse of china--check it out.

driver-thanks for the mail.No movement on this one yet but here's hoping!! They've opened loads of shops with more in the pipeline and to my mind are a better investment than china mobile because they have set up agreements with china mobile, nokia, ericcson etc to sell their phones etc so getting many bites of the cherry! time will tell when their figures come out. my thinking is EBT sell them phones and EPY sell the top ups-win win!!

The Company today announces that it intends to publish its results for the 12
months ended 31 December 2005 by late April. The Company will be adopting IFRS
standards for its 2005 accounts
They should make good reading when they appear, I hope that they are able to cope with the rapid expansion of their business - no reason to think that they won't be. Looking good.

very dull up to now Kim -hope they reward us for our patience as you say very rapid expansion in a huge market. little acorns always take time I suppose--like EPY another potential winner but not taking off yet!! in fact my shares are all looking pretty sick at the moment but expect things to improve after 5th April-fingers crossed.

EBT Mobile China PLC
06 April 2006
EBT Mobile China PLC ('EBT' or 'the Company')
Potential Agreement
The Company is pleased to announce that it is in the final stages of securing an
agreement with a partner in China to accelerate its store opening programme.
This acceleration will have a working capital requirement, but will bring
forward the Company's drive towards profitability.
Further details will be announced in due course upon formal confirmation of
the contract.
This information is provided by RNS
The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
I would like to see fund raising via a rights issue with this one so that the ordinary shareholders can pick up cheap shares; probably be another institutional placing though if not bank borrowing.

Very glad I got bored and moved on-but don't understand the poor performance. All the shops are up and running, the revenues should be rolling in! wonder if there's some bad news in the pipeline or if it's a good long term punt on mobile handsets in China!! staying out for now and watching for a turn around.

I have just been to Beijing and Shanghai and seen some of the "stores" which are quoted by EBT which are actually more like shoe boxes and are headed by the sign over the door of China Mobile and have presumably francises for the inside to EBT. I have seen about 20-25 of these so called stores.Only one we saw in a Carrafour store in Shanghai was a very modern, very small, shop within a shop, which was very smart. We are shareholders,in need of more news about the profitability of these stores and the viability of same.On one occassion I saw 3 "stores" within 100 yards of each other
The market on Mobiles is tremedous in those cities and there are supposed to be over 450,000 in use in that region and that over 6 million are expected to be sold over China when the Olympic games start (2008). More news is required and I have a jaundiced view at the moment and don't want telling that they have opened another 100 "shoe boxes".

So they are not actual shops but stalls or ''shoe boxes''. Wouldn't see it going very far then.

market on mobiles is tremendous-shoeboxes have low overheads surely? makes for a better bottom line. I don't think there will be a rise in sp until we see strong growth and profits, but all the set up has been carried out just patience needed.

Very intriguing shares this one.
Yes it is underpriced, not uncommon for AIM.
We seem to have 3 routes all seem to be seeing EBT leaving AIM at a higher price.
1. Takeover (carphone warehouse etc) would offer mid 30’s.
2. Leave AIM for one of the other markets, early to mid 20’s.
3. Make company private. The takeover price is important
Have I missed something, I am not in yet and would welcome other peoples opinion, I am very new to dealing.
Am I wrong or do EBT just want out of AIM?
