Guv,
Microsoft Vista
Breydon,
Have you tried a Window Update in Me? There may be a patch for what you are experiencing.
With Tiny Drivers you will just have to Google the Model number/ Part Number (On the underneath) and the word driver and trawl.

I have two simple questions.
1. I am using IE as my browser but, having read the recent press, switching to Firefox seems sensible. But, is it as simple as replacing one with another? For example, I use pocket pc on my mobile (IE). Do I have to change that too, in order for Ian to recognise both users as me? Are there any conflicts and what is the step-bt-step-'blonde'-way to effect the switchover?
2. (Much easier!). Those of you who have the right software, please could you tell me, if somebody bought something costing 100 in 1823, what would the price be in today's currency?
Thanks

Goodness, MM, a reply in the time it took me to make a cup of tea! Thank you. Version 1.5 seems to be the latest so I'm about to take the leap. (Not a very brave bear....)

What cost $100 in 1823 would cost $1,385.50 in 2005. Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2005 and 1823, they would cost you $100 and $7.22 respectively.
This was calculated for the USA $ using The Inflation Calculator at
http://www.westegg.com/inflation/
There are similar facilities for Italy and Canada but i can't see one for the UK.

Can anyone help with a virulent virus I've picked up tonight whilst using my spare laptop on dial up. I've acquired gaelciumA which AVG wont remove and Panda now wont scan ? Bit stuck so any assistance gratefully appreciated. It's altered 104 windows files!

Check out
http://www.grisoft.com/doc/removal/lng/us/tpl/tpl01?uti=Vcleaner for removal of the Win32/Gaelicum virus
I found a reference to Win32/Gaelicum.A at
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=451250 and clicked on the link mentioned in the 2nd post.
Good Luck with it.
PS. Watch your spelling?

CS I've had a look at the Symantec website and there's no mention of any virus of that name. If it aint there it's surprising. Is that the correct spelling?
Symantec search
edit more help from DocProc than me ;-)

Doc Proc. Thank you. That's extremely helpful and supports the argument in my report. Much appreciated. But if anyone does find a UK inflation calc, please let me know.

Glad to be of help. Please send 50p.
On second thoughts, do not send 50p, but use it to vote Gorgeous George out of the Celebrity Big Brother house. I used to find him quite fascinating but of late, I've totally gone off the guy.

The Office of National Statistics just gave me the info, and for the real geeks out there, I can tell you 100 in 1823 would be worth, in current money.......7,972. And for the 100 in todays money, that would have equated to.....1.25 in 1823. There's no inflation calculator on their website, but they were happy to help.
