How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Not even finished the first round (some havent even started) and Woods is all but even money to win - may look to lay Woods once he finishes his round

Keep your eye on the weather woods has always performed poorly when the weather has turned.

Did some work on golf rankings last night. I have been using a quasi pyschological method of ranking golfers according to their performances and how that affects their confidence. As any golfer knows confidence is critical. It seems to be pretty accurate at pickers losers and avoiding major winners. It suggests laying Goosen at the moment. I'm not going heavy on this but thought I would have a little pop. Goosen is only two shots off the lead at the moment and priced at 14's!!

Scrip
is that based on the fact that he blew up completely on the last day at the US Open? Personally wouldnt be looking to lay Goosen before the weekend starts and probably not till Sunday morning.
2 of my 3 big priced e/w shots going well - Jiminez and Appleby

Could do with the Goose and others making a challenge on Tiger before choking as it'll help my lay on Tiger.

Laying Woods after first round was a smart move. Wish I'd been on board.

Compound, Its still not too late to climb on board as odds still excellent.
I'm on the wrong side of my original lay and will need the others to mount a serious challenge to get back on the right side.
VJ is playing well today but there have been a lot of missed putts all round

Compound, Beware of the weather cos apparently its a glorious day with very little wind and if conditions stay the same there's talk that Tiger could card a very low score

I agree the conditions are perfect for Tiger.

Anyone else trading the horses today - is it just me or is there hardly and tradeable movement?

It is poor today. Has been good all week though so I was expecting some payback.

ive barely traded all week and when i have ive traded poorly - i cant afford the "payback" lol.
At least im green on the hampshire v surrey cricket match - gonna have a break (cue great trading movements) and watch a friend bat for hampshire in their vain quest for 359 in 50 overs

If today's conditions are ideal for T Woods, then
tomorrow's weather forecast rather changes things.
In case you aren't familiar with synoptic charts, go forward to the animation that covers Sat 12:00 UTC and you will see 2 warm fronts over northern Scotland which suggest that it is highly likely to be wet through the middle part of the day at St Andrews

I've seen Woods really foul up in bad weather so I suggest wait till the end of the day and see how far in front he is. That will frame your opportunity. I didn't have opposing Woods in the game plan this week. But may glance at it this evening.

Woods will tee off in the afternoon as well so that could be interesting if there is a mover in the morning rounds.

Montgomerie making a move - 4 under for 5 holes and 5 under for the tournament - he couldnt could he.....
The only time i can remember Woods really struggling with the weather was Carnoustie, when all and sundry suffered as the conditions were horrendous. At this time of year at St Andrews the weather can turn but is never as bad as it was at Carnoustie. To me, Woods chance will increase if he is in front and the wind blows - it is more likely challengers come out of the pack if the conditions are benign

Phenomenal tee shot from Woods on the 10th - 380 yds and he knocks it on the green pin high
