Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

PW Carnell - 24 Nov 2005 17:21 - 4034 of 7315

So is there an explanation please?

forest - 24 Nov 2005 17:33 - 4035 of 7315

Stockwatch not working, logged out and restarted pc, still no use.

stylus - 24 Nov 2005 17:54 - 4036 of 7315

I cannot access the stockwatch and get a java error:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:Java.Lang.StringBuffer:method append(Ljava/lang/StringBuffer;)Ljava/lang/StringBuffer; not

That is all I can see, this seemed to happen at 16:30, hope it helps.

covenant - 24 Nov 2005 18:02 - 4037 of 7315

I too can't get Stockwatch - just a grey screen where the companies list and detail should be.

Stan - 24 Nov 2005 18:07 - 4038 of 7315

Same here, blank screen.

covenant - 24 Nov 2005 18:08 - 4039 of 7315

Same result with the 'live stream' Trades option too. (Yes, I know the market's closed now)

:>)

Sorry TJ, yep I lost it at work again.
It's ok at home though :)

PW Carnell - 24 Nov 2005 20:36 - 4043 of 7315

fixed now thanks

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 25 Nov 2005 07:42 - 4044 of 7315

Treblewide,

That's odd. I did have a clear out of some news articles today but it shouldn't have affected anything that was associated with a company.

I'll investigate.

VML news articles for last month gone.

Cheers, Madison

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 25 Nov 2005 08:31 - 4046 of 7315

Madison, Treblewide,

It would appear that our resident SQL monkey (me) was a little over zealous with his deleting things yesterday.

I'm in the process of reloading those articles and all my bananas have been taken away for the day.

Sorry about that.

J.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 25 Nov 2005 08:34 - 4047 of 7315

The most recent articles have been reloaded (the last 30 days), the historical ones will be loaded during the day (there's a lot of data to load)

J.

Treblewide - 25 Nov 2005 08:45 - 4048 of 7315

ok cheers ya SQL monkey plonker....development for dummies textbook for chribo is it :-)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 25 Nov 2005 08:56 - 4049 of 7315

Treblewide,

No, it's the "read the code to see how the pages are generated before randomly deleting things" text book. I think it's on special at Amazon at the moment.

Madison - 25 Nov 2005 09:40 - 4050 of 7315

Cheers TJ. Have a banana on me.

I don't know whether this has already been raised, but there is no News flag on Stockwatch for LGB.

Fundamentalist - 28 Nov 2005 09:42 - 4052 of 7315
