SUPERSCAPE - TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE. (SPS)

Happy1 - 03 Mar 2004 22:47

Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.

Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.

Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).

Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.

The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.

People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

These drips of news regarding new deals are great but what the market needs to see is firm revenues showing on the bottom line. What are these games actually earning for SPS ? I am holding but the company needs to sort out its communications with investors.

jimwren,

The results will show the real figures. Until then I suspect we won't get any figures. IMO.

Shares magazine did mention some figures about the cut SPS would get on UK games (something like 2 from 5 download charge), but you'll have to look back at the issues to see - as I can't remember which edition it was (assuming you get the mag that is).

SPS is about the long haul, if you want a quick buck you might be dissappointed. My honest opinion on the progress is its the right way to go, steady move up. Not sudden reaction. I think their strategy is fine.

$2.49 monthly access or $8.99 for unlimited use purchase, the number one 2d game generates a million downloads a month on verizon, that's the reaon this news is a big deal. Verizon are the top dog for games in the US, a top selling game is big bucks and you only have to m ake it once. No cd's to print, no advertising, just give it to Verizon and take half of the revenue! Shorters don't understand this company and why it has it's current valuation, DYOR and you will undrstand!

skids - 01 Feb 2005 22:09 - 407 of 707

ehall I totally agree.

I wouldn't class myself as a very experienced investor, but this is one of the clearer ones if you take the time to look properly.

the selling pressure was due to the possibility of a fund raising. now some weeks have passed i think the buyers will dismiss it as a rumour. As far as i know income is good and they do not need cash.

joehargan1 - 13 Feb 2005 14:26 - 409 of 707

I understand that SPS also have a swerve enabled npd close to launch in mobile gaming, the next big growth area. If this is right and they can lauunch soon then the ability to leverage existing customers and deliver a further revenue stream beckons. Anyone else picking this up?

ehall - 13 Feb 2005 15:48 - 410 of 707

Joe, excuse my ignorance, what's an NPD?

MightyMicro - 13 Feb 2005 16:02 - 411 of 707

New Product Development or Narcissistic Personality Disorder, take your pick!

joehargan1 - 13 Feb 2005 16:22 - 412 of 707

...I meant the former for SPS but actually I'll now start using the latter on a personal level.

The 3 GSM world congress is the place for all industry leaders to see and be seen. SPS are now a clear leader with a big seat at the table in mobile gaming technology. Be prepared for some amazing results in the near term pipeline and with 1 billion potential end users in play and another 1 billion in 3-5 years, we are in great shape SPS holders. Stay patient, we're about to have lift-off...IMHO of course.....even city raider Evel Knieval is getting in on the act it seems from their latest news release...

February 14 17, 2005

Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS) announces that three of its 3D games will be showcased in the QUALCOMM exhibition booth at 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, February 14 -17.

The Superscape titles were developed for QUALCOMMs BREW solution and include 3D AMF Bowling, licensed by Vir2L Studios, 3D Evel-ution, based on the world famous stuntman Evel Knievel, and 3Dswerve Basketball.

3D AMF Bowling allows players to compete in a variety of venues ranging from classic wood lanes to the neon flashing Xtreme lanes that are available around the world at AMF Bowling emporiums. Players compete to get the highest score against friends or AI (artificial intelligence) players.

Licensed by Global Wireless Entertainment (GWE), the 3D Evel-ution game allows players to control Evel as he rides through a series of obstacles and jumps, gaining points as he progresses. Various levels are included in a game that takes Evel over ramps made of cars, buses, trucks and fountains. Players need to use considerable skill to control the speed and balance of Evel as they move towards the Main Event that includes the Vegas Fountain jump, the 13 Mack Truck jump and a stadium packed with fourteen Greyhound buses in Kings Island.

3DSwerve Basketball delivers fast-paced two-on-two action as the camera follows the players as they perform a series of intricate moves. Players are able to compete in single games or play an entire season against twenty-nine teams.

We are delighted to be showing off some of our leading 3D games titles along with QUALCOMM at this years 3GSM show, said Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc. Our two companies are working closely together to leverage the market opportunities and technical capabilities offered by the BREW solution.

Demand for 3D games is growing and companies like Superscape are demonstrating the tremendous market opportunity for this type of content, said Mike Yuen, director, gaming group for QUALCOMM Internet Services. QUALCOMM looks forward to continuing our work with Superscape and providing publishers and developers with the tools they need to create the next generation of innovative 3D applications.

QUALCOMMs BREW solution is designed to meet the distinct and varied needs of wireless operators, handset manufacturers, publishers, developers and end users around the world. BREW products and services include: an open, extensible client platform that supports robust system and application software including personalized and branded user interfaces for mass market devices; a J2EEbased, modular distribution system that enables the delivery of content, applications and user interfaces to wireless devices across all air interfaces; a dedicated professional services team that supports the integration of customized implementations; and the wireless industrys first global marketplace to support the monetization of applications and services developed in all programming languages. The BREW ecosystem can make your wireless visions a reality.

Anyone read the Investor's Cronic? Apparently they have tipped these as a sell. Anyone know why?

joehargan1 - 25 Feb 2005 08:44 - 420 of 707

That explains the drop this morning. We badly need the results to come out as I fully expect these to be well ahead of expectations.

joehargan1 - 25 Feb 2005 08:46 - 421 of 707
