Pehraps you should follow L2 and you will note that the MMs rarely feature on the Bid/Offer (which isn't to say that they don't).

and yes -l am aware it is their very job to make and stimulate a vibrant trading environment but this pricing become something very predictable Too predictable .And all this based on a well estimated at a 20% chance of success which in itself constitutes something of a wildcat........l believe strongly there is oil around these lslands but i believe if an RNS is not issued within the next few days Des have not been successful in finding the jubilee type field many of you seem to believe to be inevitable one day; and yet the next day are utterly despondent and sell ....and i do follow L2 ......and if you believe for a second that mms are not having an input you are sadly indulging in self deception

Richard, MMs are on the book, but only occasionally directly on the Bid/Offer. As I intimated in my earlier post, that isn't to say they are not placing orders indirectly (a point TFC ignored). My opinion, FWIW is that post 4067 was the usual MM playing games, a view often put forward by the less informed ;-)

PTH Reg posting 4067 ...LEARN to read what is written; not what you imagine to be written and which best suits your argument . Who said anything about mms playing games..?

I still stick with the official timeline of events from DES pre-drill. Taking into account a bit of bad weather and a few hiccups, and all being well some slow drilling due to encountering some zones of interest, a few days delay to the schedule should be about right, so from today up until I suggest next Wednesday (for 7 days delay) there could be news out any time. So now the excitement starts.
Certainly not a duster IMO, something of interest is there IMV.

just a couple of observations .....
DES has certainly been a dilatory in keeping the market informed
however
they have already said that there would be news by month end - i.e. a week today (wednesday)
while admitting my own constant vacillation, i think the odds still favour an indecisive first result
but
DES will also be aware of the need to keep everyone on board, so i would expect any rns to make as many positive noises as possible

much as i hate to agree with cynic{ only jesting C } l have a gut feeling samples being analyised are proving very difficult to interpret and indeed any RNS will put as positive a slant on affairs as is possible as half the investing community and their dogs appear to have a position /...not suggesting for a second it has much bearing on this well, but does it not seem a little strange that CEO lan Duncan sold 210,000 shares @ 98P a few days before rig arrived ?
