Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Toml; Are you still having difficulty? The servers are running fine. You might need to close a browser and reopen though!!

Tis the reboots doing it then. Happened to me twice.

Spoke to soon - was just logged out again - and I'm ACTIVE.

Just logged out again too, it's pretty annoying...

just this morning,I keep getting asked to login when I refresh the traders thread.also,It no longer remembers my password (and neither do I!)

Same happened to me twice - active and it says I'm logged in but still asks for password on refresh.

Re: the error in IE 5.1 Mac--this was the version I was using. I was only really using this to test the site (I also used Netscape for Mac and it was fine). The error still seems to comes up. If you do use Mac IE 5.1 I would be interested to know what your preference settings are, just in case it is something related to this. I must admit I've never seen anything like it though--usually javascript errors puke out a lot of code into a separate window.

Well done - even fixes the other problems when cutting and pasting from word.

Morning all.

Just want to say thanks to all the team at MoneyAM...its easy to forget that while we are busy trading and providing "bug input", the project team are working furiously in the background.

I have retested the delay on trades I reported (see 387 (2)above) and am pleased to say that the delay has come in dramatically from 3 mins to circa 15 seconds, based on testing vod 1st 10 mins opening trades.

For what it is worth, have noted that all trades for any 1 min time frame are accurately collected. But the order in which they appear is definitely not the order in which they have been physically executed...eg. vod at 08.29 hours..

per MoneyAM trades - 53K/200/16/250/750/250/28
per advfn(t/sales) - 28k/250/750/250/16/200/53 (correct order in time of execution)

This makes no commercial difference to me for data collection and analyses purposes, so long as they are collected accurately to within the minute! But it may be important to others to know and I don't know if MoneyAM have a duty of care to point this out (ie time and sales accurate to within 1 minute does not mean that this is the precise order in which the trades were executed).

It does make a big difference to me for execution purposes!

Looks to me pretty simple to sort..nb. AM data looks exactly back to front!

TomL - thanks for your feedback - it's particularly useful to have the specific examples you've given in the previous post and earlier posts regarding delays on trades. We're working with our data provider at the moment to try and iron out some of these problems, and it's made things a lot easier to be able to quote specific trades that were delayed!

I'll keep you posted.

Ipenning - thanks Ian...good to know, as sometimes I think I might be thought of as rambling. But took the view that without specifics am cannot quickly and accurately judge the materiality of a point in relation to the good of the whole community..will continue as before where relevant!

Martini..that happened to me also, don't know why! But obviously we both logged back in again.

To double check on my post(418 above) results on today's opening, I conducted a comprehensive check comparing the stocks on my stockwatch at am with the same on my advfn monitor.

Stock components monitored are azn,barc,bp,gsk,Lloy and vod.

Measurements are:-

1st TEST
advfn..all timed at 11.26 hours (taken as last stock component to first register time) = clock time 11.30 hours; and
am....all timed at 11.26 hours = clock time 11.32 hours.

2nd TEST (excl azn = slow momentum today)
advfn..all timed at 11.29 = clock time 11.33 hours; and
am...all timed at 11.29 (excl azn) = clock time 11.35 hours.

Both suggest delay of 2 mins and therefore my optimism in post 418 above is incorrect. The delay is across the board and material. No need to respond...I know you have this in hand but thought the above different more comprehensive test should be added to your basket of data on the issue. Cheers!

Using the feature on A***N that substitutes 'an A***N competitor' for www.MoneyAM etc could be useful. If one were to put a sentence in the thread title or in the body of a post that said 'There is MoneyAm which is far superior to A***N' it might come out rather niceley.
