It couldn't happen to a nicer man! - Theresa May to block John Bercow’s peerage

CC - 18 Jan 2019 08:26 - 44 of 61

Morning all. Blue, blue, blue. Everything up or flat today.

skinny - 18 Jan 2019 08:32 - 45 of 61

Asia stocks rise broadly on U.S.-China trade relief

Stan - 18 Jan 2019 08:34 - 46 of 61

Morning all. So far CC/CD..so far -):

Fred1new - 18 Jan 2019 09:16 - 47 of 61

21/28 up.

Will it continue?

Whatever it is.

Still not putting dividends in.

skinny - 18 Jan 2019 09:28 - 48 of 61

I'm not sure whats different today, but the FTSE could touch 7000 in short order?

CC - 18 Jan 2019 10:26 - 49 of 61

That's this month's option expiry done. Let's see what happens next.

CC - 18 Jan 2019 10:58 - 50 of 61

7000 today would be nice.

From what I can see on L2, the trade flow looks really good. Volume is reasonable and sellers are waiting for the price to come to them.

I assume it's
1. No deal Brexit looking incredibly unlikely
2. Rumours Trump is going to cut tariffs
3. Shorts getting fried (or long term shorters on a downtrend line from August closing)
4. Whilst 410 on AV., or 243 on RBS or 57.5 on LLOY seems good compared with a month ago it's still cheap imho

Employment good, wage rises good, inflation low enough that interest rate rises will be limited. What's not to like?

Fred1new - 18 Jan 2019 12:03 - 51 of 61

Agree 1,2,3,4

Barc. is beginning to show hope. (Expect 225).

I hope, BJ, JRM, Redwood etc. are in pile 3.

CC - 18 Jan 2019 13:20 - 52 of 61

Only 50 to go to 7000 now. Can we get there today? Perhaps the Dow can give us an extra push.

Certainly an interesting day

CC - 18 Jan 2019 13:55 - 53 of 61

Significant buy programs launched on RBS and LLOY about 15 minutes ago.

This could get very interesting. how long will they run for? until 14:30 or for the rest of the day?

CC - 18 Jan 2019 14:11 - 54 of 61

40 to go now...

Fred1new - 18 Jan 2019 14:21 - 55 of 61

27/28 Blue.

I am not going to look any longer.

CC - 18 Jan 2019 14:27 - 56 of 61

All but one of mine blue or flat.

Bitcoin getting pummelled which might be telling us normality has resumed.

skinny - 18 Jan 2019 14:29 - 57 of 61

I mentioned 7000 almost tongue in cheek!!

CC - 18 Jan 2019 15:30 - 58 of 61

I can wait until Monday Skinny.

In the meantime all the financials still looking good. I'm looking forward to the last hour.

CC - 18 Jan 2019 15:55 - 59 of 61

Is there options expiry at 16:30? I know there was at 10:10 today.

In which case 7000 is definitely on the cards
