seen that , fred, also saw that it didnt affect the price.

bosley - 16 May 2005 17:57 - 4105 of 27111

i've said it before and i'll say it again. i will never understand this shares lark. you get days when buys outweigh sells and the sp goes down . today , sells outweigh buys and the sp goes up. not the first time this has happened. tfc seemed to think this was a good thing. come to think of it, we haven't seen tfc for a while.

The first 500,000 was at 22.50, if it was a sell then the second 500,000 would not be a sell at 22.62, they would have dropped the price below 22.50 ?

aldwickk - 16 May 2005 18:04 - 4109 of 27111

Did not think it had clicked post reply first time so i tried again and again.

Hello Aldwick

re post 4079, I rang packagin Automation this afternoon and apparently Neil Ashton (the contact name on your post)was in a meeting. I spoke to a colleague of his who said that the news relates to a new development that is at least 12 months away. they could not say if it is in direct competition with SEO, it would be good if one of our more technical posters could ring and have a chat with them to get some accurate info to post here so that we have a reasoned analasys of potential competition. I am sure that a certain person on this thread will try to milk it for all he can in the most negative way,

Not once have I even contemplated selling through all of the ramblings and rants of someone on this thread, yet this post did worry me and I sold half of my holding. I know that this is a mistake and I shall be buying them back ASAP as the long term view of SEO is outstanding and I am happy that with the stable of products that they are developing they will increase my wealth over the next few years.

Regards

Nick

They could be sells. Maybe , maybe giving a little more on the size and /or have a known buyer. Anybody with level 2 viewing. (can't afford it myself. Overall volumes not that high.

markusantonius - 16 May 2005 19:16 - 4112 of 27111

On a wider note - since some European markets were closed today, trading volumes overall were generally very thin - with little guidance compared to normal. Good to see that SEO rose even slightly today. Bodes well for the future.

Nick, "Competition" is good for a no. of reasons and I don't see this as a negative. Also creates generic awareness and proof that the technology is well sought after. There are ways of getting around patents but SEO are still in the driving position. Probably easier for a Big Plc to try and buy them out rather than competete, in the short term. That would be great news for us, of course......

Sequestor - 16 May 2005 19:27 - 4113 of 27111

they were obviously a roll-over
500,000 sell @22.5p , followed in 12 secs by
a buy -500,000@22.62p
get a grip lads, its not hard- gave the mm 60.

bhunt1910 - 16 May 2005 21:05 - 4114 of 27111

Thank you Sequestor - I have but a simple brain

Nick re post 4079

Don Q 1st has already told us that New Laser Sealing is far superior than RF he even put that very same link on this thread a couple of weeks ago, I commented that Packaging Automation Ltd hasnt fitted it on any one of there 22 machines after 3 years in testing. Its all been done and dusted on this board as being very expensive and un-competitive compared to SEO'S new RF technology.

bosley - 16 May 2005 23:38 - 4116 of 27111

seo are in usa preparing to pitch to walmart against whatever competition there is out there, the same as they did here in the uk. i would imagine every tom, dick and harry has pitched to asda , tesco and all the major supermarkets. i always think it's best to listen to the people who matter in situations like this.

'This is a first to market for ASDA - real innovation. This could well turn out
to be the biggest thing in packaging for years. The benefits for both the
environment, our customers and suppliers from this technology are far reaching.
The potential for the use of Stanelco's technology grows every time we look at
it. Every visit to both stores and suppliers identifies new areas and ways in
which the technology can be used. We are looking forward to working with
Stanelco.'

to full scale commercial production."

'nuff said, i think.

Interesting that yesterday all the largest trades were sells - and most buys were just small - looks like the ramp is sucking the small holders in whilst the big ones depart slowely a bit at a time -

morning baza. same here. beautiful day. might even venture out onto the golf course aagain. i was very encouraged by yesterday. normally, after a rise, the price usually gets walked down when there is no news but yesterday we stayed nice and steady. hoping for another steady day today.

superrod - 17 May 2005 08:40 - 4121 of 27111

ii
ill risk the fine......
as already stated by sequestor, the 2 500k trades were a rollover ( sell and buy back ), the 434k is unknown, which leaves just 512k sells, NOT nearly 2million.
