CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

SueHelen - 21 Nov 2003 18:45 - 411 of 1924

Hi Anna,

What it could lead to is some mention in the weekend press and some big players buying into this stock ahead of the good news expected to be release. Could see a Gresham Computing lookalike here where a divulge of contracts/licences announcements could send the share price to ?1.00 in the medium term.

But chief executive, Bob Antell, believes the doors he has been pushing against for so long are beginning to open on both sides of the Atlantic and he is ready to put his head above the parapet for the first time.

The above paragraph taken from the article has led to me believe that ?1.00 could be possible in the medium term.

Regards,

Sue.

Thanks Sue - ?1.00 is a pound I take it? That would be wonderful.
Thanks to you I have bought 100,000 shares at 10.6p so I really do owe you an extremely big drink!

Regards
Anna

Hi Sue

Thanks for the reply, yet again a full informative post.Dont know where you get all the info from but sounds spot on to me.

Shame it did not get to 20p today, let alone 10%.. but yes, 20p by end of next week I can see but 50p would have to be impossible, would'nt it????

Have a great weekendand speak to you on Monday.

Martin

PS Reflex on the move, remember seeing a post that you have some of these, lets hope it continues as it owes me a little.

PPS Take a look at Off Shore Telecoms OST. Thought it might be of interest to you.

Bye

Hi sue, Have just discoved your site (blame gameboy) he was the one who name dropped! Love your take on things, spot on with mine. Can't wait for monday, should see some lovely fireworks next week. Wouldn't recommend that people day trade this share, much easier to just buy a few and watch it go! 17p is a key level, expect it to quickly go through it first thing, with Mon being a nice up day like last weds/thurs. End of week price target 30p on no news.IMHO
Love the charts you posted! Regards axe

Sue, Martin, axe79
I am relatively new to trading - I want to ask a question that probably displays my ignorance but want to ask it anyway - given the huge rise on CWV in the last week, no matter the value of the company, isn't it unlikely that those sort of percentage rises are sustainable next week?
Anna

game_boy - 22 Nov 2003 11:30 - 418 of 1924

anna....the % rise so far is immaterial....the market is trying to find the correct value for CWV prior to the expected announcement re new contracts and funding....CWV has been an ignored company on AIM for 3 years now...quietly building its business...products... and clients...it has just started to come out of the shadows now it has something to shout about....the market has woken up to its potential and in this type of situation the % increases can be unbelievable.....not just on a daily basis but over a matter of a few weeks/months....but as always care needs to be taken on the roller coaster ride which occurs at times like this...good luck !!

From Telegraph market report:

On Aim, CMS Webview, the provider of software systems for commodities traders, climbed a further 3 to 14.5p. Volumes reached 3.9m, representing 7pc of the company. Traders speculated CMS will announce further contract wins as early as next week and is close to placing shares with institutions to raise about ?1.5m.

They added investors were switching into the stock and rotating out of software company Gresham Computing, 8.5 lower at 344p. Since CMS announced on October 28 that it had signed up a further two corporate clients, its shares have soared from 3.12p.

The Independent market report:

CMS WebView shares have soared since it appointed the broker Corporate Synergy at the end of last month and they were among the best small-cap performers yesterday, up 3p to 14.5p. The group provides market data to various stock exchanges around the world, including the London Metal Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.

jflet.....This is only the begining for this share, if you read the information about the company you will see why. Its important to do your own research into a share, otherwise you cannot form your own views. It is your money that you are investing, you must feel comfortable with your decisions. You will read misinformation as well, that is sometimes posted, its important to have made some takes for yourself. Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Morning gameboy

game_boy - 22 Nov 2003 11:48 - 423 of 1924

morning axe...can't keep up with all the places CWV is being talked about !!

The significance of a statement in the press releases yesterday has just sunk in big time !!! Remember this media campaign will be being carefully coordinated by their PR agency...who will know most of what's happening from their briefings with directors....

"Mr Antell plans to go on the sales offensive in the new year, opening a Chicago or New York office to back up the London operations."

That's not a maybe...perhaps...or city speculation.....that IS THE COMPANY's PLAN !!

Bearing in mind they already have 2 clients in the US.....and undoubtedly have been prospecting several more over recent months.....they must be very confident of their current US pipeline being converted to sales to invest in opening US offices....perhaps on the back of another US contract yet to be announced......imminently !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

leslienicholls - 22 Nov 2003 11:53 - 424 of 1924

with snippet of info like the previous treads being published its looking good for next week but until we get a bit of firm news we mush tread carefully!!!!

jfletendre - 22 Nov 2003 11:55 - 425 of 1924

Gameboy & axe79
Many thanks for your replies - much appreciated. As I said, I am new to trading and even doing my own research is difficult as my ignorance is such that knowing what is important and unimportant is not always obvious and then to interpret the important stuff is also not that easy for me - however, I am learning and in the meantime, I admit to being influenced by people who seem to know what they are talking about - Sue for instance - her knowledge and interpretation of what has been happening stock price wise has been proven to be spot on. I'm learning all the time but gosh, there's a LOT to know!
In the meantime, I am very grateful for people such as yourselves who generously take the time out to respond and inform people like me!
Regards
Anna

Gameboy....good move topping up yesterday, I bet your pleased you did! Monday should be explosive. Now expect mark up to open above 17p and climb rapidly away. Market cap should double next week, glad that I have my 100k of shares! This will be a rollercoaster, glad I'm watching from the sidelines!

axe79 - 22 Nov 2003 13:17 - 427 of 1924

anna thanks.....its just putting back in a bit of knowledge that we have taken out over the years. Nobody is right all the time, but you can develope a sense of people that are well meant. I make my living out of investing, as a few others do that post. I have a small number of stocks that I will take a larger position in. Unlike some, I would rather go for a few of high quality, than a broader number. By spreading the risk (as its called) Fine for ft100 companies, you are in fact increasing your chances for losses in these smaller cap companies. Research, timing, market knowledge....all important.

regards........axe

Hi there,

Evening to everyone.

Should bolster on tomorrow to higher levels, very possible for the price to reach to 30-35 pence by end of the week. If we do get the RNS with the news that I mentioned long time ago on this thread then considering where the price is now we could expect to see the price going up to as much as 50 pence before settling back at 35-40 pence.

GoodNight.

Sue.

ateeq180 - 23 Nov 2003 22:59 - 429 of 1924

jfletendre - 23 Nov 2003 23:20 - 430 of 1924

Would appreciate your view on that too Sue - have bought 10,000 shares at 10.5p but if price continues journey north would like to add - know you don't have a crystal ball....actually, you might well have had to date! but don't want to lose my current profit by buying more too high etc etc
