THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

cynic - 22 May 2014 11:49 - 41125 of 81564

max - i'm afraid they very much do count, and the big worry is the wider picture of growing nationalism and extremism throughout europe

MaxK - 22 May 2014 12:06 - 41126 of 81564

Indeed c, but you have to ask yourself why the rise in nationalistic tendencies if everything in the €U garden is fine and dandy?

Could it be that people have had enough of this multi-culti shit that is continually shoved down their throats by the powers that be?

goldfinger - 22 May 2014 12:08 - 41127 of 81564

Me too in the end I decided to go with UKIP and give Camoron and fellow liars a bloody nose.

Loads of UKippers about.

Shortie - 22 May 2014 12:12 - 41128 of 81564

I'll be voting UKIP later tonight as will most the people I know. We've given too much to this European project which hasn't yielded any positive results for us. Time to knock the project on the head and call it a day I think. Can't keep throwing money down the drain especially when our own country men are suffering and going without.

Haystack - 22 May 2014 12:29 - 41129 of 81564

In some parts of London there are 17 candidates.

Putin has done another neat sidestep. He knows Europe is going to try very hard to do without energy supplies from Russia. He needed to find a new major market for his oil and gas and then he can continue to behave how he wants.

cynic - 22 May 2014 12:44 - 41131 of 81564

Max - it's not the "why" that concerns me, but the "where's it all going to end" ..... radicalism and nationalism are very dangerous and easily get totally out of hand

goldfinger - 22 May 2014 12:54 - 41132 of 81564

Gazprom on a P/E of just over 2. Value here?????

MaxK - 22 May 2014 13:29 - 41133 of 81564

c - I don't see a problem with nationalism, whats wrong with supporting your home team?

Radicalism, well that's something else...but brits don't do that much.

MaxK - 22 May 2014 13:29 - 41134 of 81564

goldfinger - 22 May 2014 13:37 - 41135 of 81564

cynic - 22 May 2014 13:41 - 41136 of 81564

i'm afraid nationalism is much nastier than you imagine - try nazi germany

Haystack - 22 May 2014 14:13 - 41137 of 81564

You will have to wait until Sunday night for UK EU exit polls as a lot of Europe doesn't vote till then.

UKIP stormed ahead in the polls for the Euro elections last night – with Nigel Farage’s party leaving all three major opponents trailing.

By: Sally GuyoncourtPublished: Thu, May 22, 2014

The party looked set for huge wins despite a campaign dogged with controversy after leader Nigel Farage was accused of racism.

A survey by Opinium revealed Ukip had a huge advantage with a 32 per cent share, Labour had 25 per cent, the Conservatives 21 per cent and the Lib Dems and Greens neck and neck with six per cent. A YouGov poll showed Ukip with a 27 per cent lead, Labour on 26 per cent, the Tories on 22 per cent and the Lib Dems limping behind the Greens with just nine per cent.

Mr Farage said a big win would be a political “earthquake”.

He said that he was ready to “do a deal with the devil” and be willing to back a Tory or Labour government next year if it would ensure a referendum on Europe.

ExecLine - 22 May 2014 14:21 - 41139 of 81564

Hmmm? Back a Tory or Labour government, eh?

Hmmm?

ExecLine - 22 May 2014 14:50 - 41140 of 81564

Zip a dee doo dah, zip a dee ay!

goldfinger - 22 May 2014 15:16 - 41141 of 81564

goldfinger - 22 May 2014 15:17 - 41142 of 81564
