RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Douggie - 08 Dec 2003 08:56 - 415 of 2406

good to hear positive news/views, this beenasked befor who are T10 traders?

blakester - 08 Dec 2003 11:36 - 416 of 2406

Why the drop today?

apple - 08 Dec 2003 11:46 - 417 of 2406

blakester,

Look at the trades.

Lots of small shareholders selling before 9:45am total 330,000 sold

THEN at 9:48am to 9:58am

the big boys moved in & BOUGHT 450,000

They want your shares so they are hoping you will sell.

blakester - 08 Dec 2003 12:05 - 418 of 2406

Thanks Apple.

planttec - 08 Dec 2003 12:17 - 419 of 2406

dougie
T10 traders are those who buy stock and have 10 days before settlement for the trade is due.
many trade this way on stock that they feel will increase in value over that period. They then sell before the deadline and pocket the profit without ever having to pay for the stock.

Douggie - 08 Dec 2003 12:30 - 420 of 2406

thanks for info. planttec often seen T10 refered to seems a nice way to trade!

apple - 08 Dec 2003 15:28 - 421 of 2406

Oh Look,

They've now raised the Bid price a little bit after trying to worry people a little bit earlier on.

Are they trying to tempt some more small shareholders to sell or am I just being far too Cynical?

jules99 - 08 Dec 2003 15:37 - 422 of 2406

Plantec hope all is well...?

overgrowth - 08 Dec 2003 21:46 - 423 of 2406

Lots of healthy buys coming through today - RTD should be back up again tomorrow.

blakester - 09 Dec 2003 12:07 - 424 of 2406

No upside today :-(

Douggie - 09 Dec 2003 12:45 - 425 of 2406

:-(( D.

blakester - 09 Dec 2003 14:49 - 426 of 2406

Down she goes (again)...

scotinvestor - 09 Dec 2003 14:52 - 427 of 2406

RTD is so frustrating to hold but thankfully its a long term thing for me. Otherwise i'd be going mad.

apple - 09 Dec 2003 15:55 - 428 of 2406

The number of shares bought is more than twice as many as the number sold.

The MMs are playing games with us by lowering the price.

They want your shares.

If you want a new hobby, try cynicism :-)

scotinvestor - 09 Dec 2003 16:08 - 429 of 2406

yeah, they've been doing this game now since september at least. Its getting boring!

Someone should complain about this to the relevant people, not just for RTD but for all the companies that they drag down. Especially as our stock market needs as much encouragement as it needs after the last 3 or 4 years suffering under this government.

blakester - 09 Dec 2003 17:21 - 430 of 2406

Who do you complain to?

apple - 09 Dec 2003 20:01 - 431 of 2406

scotinvestor,

Best to keep politics out of it, it can cloud your judgement.

Guess what, I just checked through all the shares on my watch lists

& 2/3 of them go the opposite way to what the total number of buys & sells would suggest that they should

Soooooooo, it is not just this share that is manipulated in this way.

It shouldn't surprise a cynic that it happens all the time.

Douggie - 09 Dec 2003 21:19 - 432 of 2406

apple.. my observations over several months also, as also good news posting mostly sends share price down!!!!...??? we are not here to understand but to try and make a profit in spite of,if it went as we expect/wish what would we coment about, ooooh I do enjoy a good moan :-( D.

overgrowth - 09 Dec 2003 21:45 - 433 of 2406

folks,

Twice as many buys as sells again, FTSE was stable (though most of my small caps dipped - they tend to soar when the FTSE has a knee-jerk plummet for the odd day or so, oddly enough).

I was going to place a tongue-in-cheek de-ramping post on Douggie's advice but couldn't convince myself - ah well, another fall tomorrow ?

Douggie - 09 Dec 2003 21:54 - 434 of 2406

my advice ??????? hope you,r wrong overgrowth
