THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Oh do shut up you miserable bunch of whinges, or just emigrate.

Fred1new - 28 May 2014 16:03 - 41563 of 81564

GF,

Post 41556

Who wrote that article.

For me it is a fair summary of the differences between Miliband and the other rabble-rousers of UKIP, BNP and the present tory party.

Cameron's idea of governing is have an idea, float it, run it for the rabble and if they respond and it is supportive of maintaining him in "office" but not power, keep it running.

If the rabble don't support the policy, called it a u-turn or that is not what he meant!

Sickening, politics.

Cameron and Farage, appeal to the football hooligans intelligentsia of the 70s period.

Rabble rousing, fascist, racist, intimidating, smearing tactics which brought Hitler to power in the 30s.

It stinks.

Cameron hasn't the political guts to face up to Salmond (wee Alex), or debate with Farage on TV.

A insincere political coward.

If the vote was for UKIP was as stated, then I hope that Clegg (if still leader) will debate live on TV with Miliband, Farage and leader of the Green party,

I cannot think of a party leader who has debased politics and much as Cameron in the last 100 years.

stan - i do so hope you're not whinging :-)

Fred1new - 28 May 2014 16:05 - 41565 of 81564

Stan,

They can't emigrate!

Nobody would accept them.

Mind some would be happy in the rat holes like Sangatte.

Fred - "I cannot think of a party leader who has debased politics and much as Cameron in the last 100 years." Well, how about Tony Blair just for starters?!:-)

Stan - 28 May 2014 16:11 - 41567 of 81564

Go on you right wing rabble.. Pick the bones out of that http://www.emigrate.co.uk/emigration-guides/item-472/top-six-places-to-emigrate

oh do stop whinging stan!

aldwickk - 28 May 2014 16:36 - 41569 of 81564

aldwickk - 28 May 2014 16:37 - 41570 of 81564

cynic - 28 May 2014 16:42 - 41571 of 81564

i think i'm both flattered and extremely grateful!

Fred1new - 28 May 2014 17:01 - 41572 of 81564

DB4,

Compared with Blair. Utmmh!

If they were both put in the same sack together and chucked in a pond I am not certain which would get out of the bag first, but I would think there would be a lot of fish floating on the surface.

I think, they certainly are a good advertisements for public school education and high ideals.

I wonder which leg of the trousers they roll up first?

Haystack - 28 May 2014 17:17 - 41573 of 81564

Interesting how the rise in popularity of UKIP coincides with the rise in people admitting that they are racist

cynic - 28 May 2014 17:23 - 41574 of 81564

that so-called racist poll was one of the most stupid things have ever seen in my life .... it was almost akin to a poll showing that the majority of people think tony blair should be canonised

Haystack - 28 May 2014 17:27 - 41575 of 81564

I certainly know people who openly admit to being racist, especially those that live in areas with serious immigration problems. If you asked me if I was racist, I would say no, but plenty of people would agree.

CHESS TELECOM
i very much hope that none of our "friends" here subscribe through this company.

as a very small example of their sharp practice ......
when your contract expires, should you not agree to renew, they charge you an admin fee of £99.00 (+ VAT no doubt) for closing the account
for doing what exactly???? ..... the account should be de facto closed because it no longer exists

apparently it is all in their so-called T&Cs, no doubt buried somewhere in the minutiae.
almost needless to say, rather like Ryanair, it is effectively impossible to get beyond the first poor sucker who answers the calls

Haystack - 28 May 2014 17:31 - 41577 of 81564

The survey was the British Social Attitudes Survey. It is a highly respected survey conducted by the National Centre for Social Research. They have been surveying social attitudes for 40 years.

cynic - 28 May 2014 17:37 - 41578 of 81564

would you admit to being a racist even if you were?
bet you wouldn't!
would you want a family of 10 romanians, bulgarians, croatians or even ***** living next door to you?
bet you wouldn't, but does that make you a racist?
no

Haystack - 28 May 2014 17:42 - 41579 of 81564

I wouldn't admit to being racist, but I know people who do admit it.

Shortie - 28 May 2014 17:49 - 41580 of 81564

Define racist?
