Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Agree with bakko that a simple way to access a page in the middle of a long thread would be very useful. There are a lot of long threads!

Cheers, Madison

Ian - I was pleased to see that the "Major Shareholders" section of "Company Zone" was updated in mid December, as promised.

However, there are still large numbers of stocks that simply return an "EPIC not found" error, when I try to use this screen. It's true that most of the stocks in question are at the microcap end of the market but it would be useful if you could get your data supplier to look at improving this.

Ian - To save emailing, I've just done a quick run through of the stocks in today's top 30 losers table(to confirm that the problem isn't just related to a few stocks that I'm interested in) and roughly two thirds of them are either "EPIC not found" or "Data unavailable".

Presumably, for the ones that are "EPIC not found", none of the other company zone info is available either.

Anyway, here is the list of ones that failed(whilst there may be a couple of weird equity instruments in the list that one wouldn't expect data for, there is clearly quite a large problem here):

AKR, BFG, WTI, HCEG, VLR, PEG, ELA, AMU, IMY, ACEP, CNW, DTE, GOO, TVC, LMBT, THF, TVR, LNBY,CYAN.

TTC is one for starters.

I'm getting problems with the level 2 screen, look at sym, it says
9.75p offer but Evo underneath is 9.5p offer.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 10:14 - 4166 of 7315

ravey,

Level 2 comes from a different supplier to company zone so is not related. Is TTC the epic code, as in TTP Comms, as it is showing correct prices, but not in the region of 9.75.

If this is not the epic code, please let me know,

Ian

ravey davy gravy - 20 Jan 2006 10:14 - 4167 of 7315

On monitor and L2 it says Sym is 9.75p offer yet Evo on L2 are quoting
9.5p offer, which is right ?

ravey davy gravy - 20 Jan 2006 10:15 - 4168 of 7315

Sorry to confuse Ian.

TTC was a stock that comes up "no epic found" for major shareholders.

Sym is the stock where monitor prices and L2 dont match

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 10:15 - 4169 of 7315

ravey,

what is the correct epic code as ttc shows 24.5 - 25 bid and offer? (which is correct)

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 10:16 - 4170 of 7315

thanks ravey, will take a look

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 10:17 - 4171 of 7315

ravey,

It should be 9.5 - looks like there is an error with the yellow strip - I will let our suppliers know.

Ian

ravey davy gravy - 20 Jan 2006 10:17 - 4172 of 7315

Sorry Ian, for TTC it comes up "no data available" and not "no epic found"

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 10:18 - 4173 of 7315

thanks ravey,

I will point this out to JT as well.

Ian,

Level 2 is going weird today.. Rio has two orders stuck at 2928 timed 14.35 and 14.36 they don't go away if I close level two and reopen it.
