Looks like I'll be on holiday for the US open. Missed half of Wimbledon too so not had a good stab at the tennis this year.

I think I have finally figured out a half decent strategy for the cricket. It's been a good third test for me. Will have to refine and hone things. Where is the best place to get data on cricket matches, preferrably test matches?

be interested to know what your theory is with the cricket - personally i am trading what i see as value as i think the market over reacts a lot - also think the draw is generally priced too short. Tend to be trading a little on gut feel having quite a bit of cricket knowledge.

That said, i am all green on this match and am watching for enjoyment only (apart from the odd front room appeal lol). Interesting that gillespie (a defensive player) has come in ahead of warne (attacking player) - looks likle Aussies have shut up shop

I think it's almost certain that the market over-reacts I see it on nearly every sports event.

shame i got too emotionally involved this afternoon - i didnt trade for that reason but 1.35 the draw with 3 balls to go - i dont think ill ever see a better 3/1 on shot in my life - some of the value in the last 3 overs was ridiculous

I had to watch the final fews overs on the TV as the wife was fed up with the kids and called me in.

Re strategy, I just started looking at limited over cricket and test matches like a football match in reverse and that seems to have done the trick. The charting seems to work in terms of mapping time decay and variation from it as well. So pleasantly suprised as it wasn't designed for that.

Tempting fate but the horses have been very good recently, only one loser in the last 43 races.

I tend not to get involved in friendlies. But its a bit embarrasing isn't it? I always wonder why England never seem to take apart any other teams. Wouldn't it be nice to see England rip through a lower quality side.

I have had problems with the Betfair site since yesterday morning. When I log on I get Microsoft Internet Explorer window popping up every 30 seconds or so saying there is a problem with the server and to refresh my browser. Tried everything to correct but no luck so far. No problem with any other sites.
Wondered if anybody had been having similar problems.
Or if anybody can tell advise what to do.

Rumours of a problem with windows, some new virus, could be linked to your problem with internet explorer... Would suggest you look at windows web site for information...

I've had problems with the homepage not displaying properly for several weeks, both on IE and Firefox. Checked this morning and it appears to be working ok now, perhaps because of this?
