TMC...One of the miners that hasnt bounced yet (TMC)

siwel2 - 17 Feb 2006 10:17

Interesting little company. Did a series of asset swops to leave them with half of the 4th largest Nickel deposit in the world.
The deposit itself is in the Philippines has been known about for 30 years but due to low prices and lack of demand in the Far East it was never exploited. With the explosion in demand from India and China the nickel price has climbed from $2 to $6.50 but oddly enough is still considered low.
The final approval stage for exploitation is just about to be approved and extraction will begin. The company already has one contract with a Japanese smelter and is in discussions with smelters in a series of countries.
Nothing clever about the operation, as the ore is of sufficiently high grade, they dig it up and ship it out. Infrastrucure is already in place for operation.
TMC is currently priced at 18m, the initial Japanese contract is worth 4m and each additional contract will hopefully be at this level or greater.
Final approval turns the company into a producer and each additional contract simply increases their size.
The management is tight with cash and has some good quality mining skills onboard.
The Philippine government is fast tracking the final approval and the company says it expects it shortly.
One to hold for approval and through the series of RNS's as more contracts are won. Company should be worth 50m in 6 months and 100m in 12-18 months.
Buy it, ignore it, just pointing this one out.

JORC is due any day, this will send use further north.

moneyplus - 01 Jun 2007 14:41 - 420 of 879

up again today but no news yet.

halifax - 01 Jun 2007 15:20 - 421 of 879

So much news to look forward to including, annual results, JORC confirmation, MRSA approval, latest shipment details, and investment in processing plant. What will SP do after all that news.

I think we need to start a new thread as the title etc. is a little dated. Are we in agreement?

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 09:54 - 423 of 879

How about, Berong Nickel Copropation moves into full time production. Or, BHP Billiton Phillipines division. (LOL.) Or, Toledo target price now 20. I havn't got a problem with a new thread, except that, some of the research and information is not readily available because not everyone checks out old threads. The new one would have to re-summarise the full potential and resource values. I await a democratic decision.

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 10:36 - 424 of 879

very strong chart as below, though potential resistance at this level

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=TMC&Si

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 10:38 - 425 of 879

The only reason for the resistance at this level is that, this is the current ball park price that the institutions are paying for the stock.

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 10:41 - 426 of 879

don't care for 8p spread much either .... but just managed a cheeky buy at 358 = 5p below indicated!

soul traders - 04 Jun 2007 11:11 - 427 of 879

Well done, Cynic. Although the 8p spread is pretty much the norm.

I'm currently out of this, fully invested elsewhere, but good luck to all.

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 11:24 - 428 of 879

The 25,000 share trade recorded an hour late was a purchase not a sale. You get this all the time on this one. With mm's trying to con everyone about what is really going on, proves that there is true value about to come out on this epic.

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 11:27 - 429 of 879

i'll believe it when i see it ..... or smack you in the gob if you have got it wrong! (lol)

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 11:39 - 430 of 879

I havn't got it wrong. MPSA imminent, JORC imminent. Trading update soon, and massive institutional investment. Why? Because with 80billion resource in the ground this company has got to be worth more than 100 million. When in full production, within 4 years, this companies annual profits are going to be worth more than the current market capitalisation.

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 11:44 - 431 of 879

don't be so touchy! (lol!)

soul traders - 04 Jun 2007 11:49 - 432 of 879

LOL. You boys just behave!! :o)

Good arguments, Oilyrag. I keep telling myself I need to review critically this company once more.

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 11:53 - 433 of 879

Sorry, not being touchy, just confirming my beliefs. This has gained 190% in value this year and 335% in value since I first bought in at 107p.

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 12:02 - 434 of 879

oh go on ...... continue being ratty so i can tease you some more!

fortitude18 - 04 Jun 2007 12:03 - 435 of 879

just ignore cynic, he posts on stock threads in which he as no interest. probably bored out of his t*ts so he'll spend all day provoking responses from responsible investors

f18

cynic - 04 Jun 2007 12:04 - 436 of 879

Forti ..... shall restrain myself no longer ..... FUCK OFF! ... squelch me if you don't like my posts .... as it happens i hold as you would know if you bothered to check back a little

oilyrag - 04 Jun 2007 13:56 - 437 of 879

Large trade 30,000 shares just gone through, recorded an hour late. I wouldn't mind betting that it was a purchase as it coinsided with the price fall. It would however appear on the surface, to be a sale. Confusing isn't it.
