Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I can't read the NOWT thread ,i posted on there that i couldn't earlier Alan but no one replied .

hewittalan6 - 20 Jan 2006 18:40 - 4188 of 7315

Its a conspiracy, Jimmy. I posted the answer to the riddle of who shot JFK on there. I have been researching it for 30 years and have come to an astonishing conclusion that I can back up with sworn testimony and eye-witness accounts. Now I can't read it and I can't remember what I put.
I feel a lawsuit coming on.

I've posted some terrible things on there that i needed to get off my chest ,things that could get me 20 years (and thats if the judge was feeling generous) so i hope MAM doesn't read this and being nosey ,fix the thread now.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2006 18:51 - 4190 of 7315

I can't see any problem with the NOWT thread - it's displaying fine on my laptop here...

When I try to switch from one list to another in Stockwatch, I keep on getting login page. Indeed, the same happens if I click on any tab. I have cleared cookies, temp files etc and downloaded java 1.5.0_06 afresh. But no luck. Sometimes, I get the following message. Grateful for any help. Thanks

IanT,

is it pssible to have some sort of moderator function here please?

ADVFN have a good one, allowing a PBB user to moderate a thread they themselves have created on the PBB, if a poster becomes a nuisance.

The reason I ask is that three good threads, FDI, JKX, and GAL are being ruined by Sue Helen making continual personal attacks.

MAM didn't have the volume of posts of over the road, but by and large there has been some quality here, avioding the slanging matches that take place elsewhere.

On the one hand, Sue Helen, which I assume is our friend Ashley, is pumping and dumping small illiquid stocks, that may catch newbies, and now he's attacking threads that I have created, thus damaging YOUR business model in both respects IMO.

Any newbie sucked in could well be back out of the market at the first loss, and anyone logging on to find information about any of the three companies listed above will be disappointed to find loads of dross by sue helen replacing what until now was reasonable discussion, and information sharing.

At the very least, please do something about SH's personal posts on those three threads, and if you value your business model, I suggest you give some thought to how to prevent this from re-occurring, or at least be quick to moderate out the dross.

Otherwise, why would people bother to post decent information at all?

I certainly won't be if this continues!

dazaferguson - 22 Jan 2006 15:36 - 4197 of 7315

Talking of dross.

I wish to report a bug called "DIl" who is a right irritating bug who ramps shares on here.

He ramped Nord Anglia and Jarvis which I foolishly bought and I am sitting on massive losses.

Why do you allow this ?

He is now ramping DAV and he is dangerous.

Please take action.

Andy - 22 Jan 2006 16:03 - 4198 of 7315

daza,

Glad I gave Swindon a miss!

dazaferguson - 22 Jan 2006 18:50 - 4199 of 7315

Andy

God we were shit at home to Orient.

I nearly cried at the final whistle.

Andy - 22 Jan 2006 21:33 - 4200 of 7315

Daza,

happens sometimes, you're placed nicely for the playoffs.

Andy - 22 Jan 2006 21:35 - 4201 of 7315

MAM,

Is it possoible to display OFEX listed companies on the charts section?

And if so, what prefix please?

Company in question is CDE, Concorde Oil & Gas.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Jan 2006 07:42 - 4202 of 7315

Junglee1,

We will take a look into that error and get back to you.

Andy,

We have a moderation susytem in place which we feel is adequate - I will take a look at the threads you have mentioned to ascertain what is going on. We will continue to allow freedom of speech, but we have and will always step in when we feel it is appropriate.

Also, in answer to your OFEX question, unfortuantely not at this time,

Ian

Mega Bucks - 23 Jan 2006 07:59 - 4203 of 7315

IanT,when i click on the traders thread in the Investors room i keep getting a logon box for advfn is this as a result of something to do with the Master RSI charts,it has only done it today and does it every time i click on it !!!!

Any ideas

Mega...

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Jan 2006 08:01 - 4204 of 7315

Mega,

It would indicate that a posting somewhere in the traders and ivestors room links to ADVFN.

I will take a look.

Ian
